  • Prescribing Lifestyle - With Special Guest, Dr. Avi Charlton
    May 7 2026

What happens when a doctor realises the system they were trained in isn’t actually creating health?

In this powerful episode of Emergence: Leading from the Field, we sit down with Dr. Avi Charlton - GP, author, and lifestyle medicine advocate - to explore her journey from conventional medicine to a radically different approach: prescribing lifestyle instead of just medication.

After a deeply personal turning point, Dr. Charlton began questioning the “eat less, move more” model and the over-reliance on quick fixes. What followed was a complete shift in how she understands health, uncovering the profound impact of nutrition, metabolic health, stress, sleep, and even the way we breathe.

    Together, we unpack:

    • Why modern healthcare is largely reactive and what’s missing
    • The surprising truth about weight loss and why calorie counting often fails
    • How low-carb nutrition can transform energy, metabolism, and chronic disease
    • The hidden role of stress and cortisol in conditions like diabetes, anxiety, and burnout
    • Simple, practical tools, like breathing techniques, to regulate your nervous system
    • Why behaviour change is so hard (and how to actually make it stick)
    • The shift from patient dependency to true health ownership

Dr. Charlton also shares the realities of challenging the status quo within the medical community and why she’s committed to building a movement where lifestyle becomes the first prescription.

This conversation is both empowering and deeply practical, offering a new lens on what it really means to take control of your health in a fast-paced, high-stress world.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of quick fixes, low energy, or conflicting health advice this episode will change how you think about wellbeing.

  • The Children's Advocate - With Special Guest, Nicolle Kopping-Pavars
    Mar 5 2026

In this powerful episode of Emergence: Leading from the Field, host Artemis Evangelidi sits down with children’s lawyer and “Kindness Ambassador” Nicolle Kopping-Pavars for a deeply moving conversation about compassion, trauma, and conscious leadership within the legal system.

Nicolle shares her journey from traditional family law practice to exclusively advocating for children in high-conflict cases, driven by her belief that children are wise, perceptive, and too often unheard. Drawing from her own childhood experience of divorce, she speaks candidly about why children need a voice in the justice system and how they are frequently misunderstood, pressured, or placed in emotional roles that are not theirs to carry.

Together, Artemis and Nicolle explore whether the adversarial legal system is truly “broken” — or simply wounded — and how unaddressed trauma within individuals can ripple outward into institutions. Nicolle offers a compelling reframe: systems don’t need to be discarded; they need healing.

    The conversation dives into:

    • The emotional toll of family litigation on children and parents
    • Why children in conflict often “protect” rather than lie
    • How mindfulness, trauma awareness, and emotional intelligence can transform legal practice
    • The importance of boundaries and wellbeing within the legal profession
    • Nicolle’s groundbreaking Compassionate Integration Process, a trauma-responsive model that places families — not professionals — at the center of resolution
    • The power of kindness as a conscious leadership practice

Blending legal insight with spirituality, mindfulness, and practical courtroom experience, Nicolle demonstrates how one person can shift the energy of an entire room — and why healing our internal conflict is essential to resolving external disputes.

This episode is an invitation to lead from where you stand, to regulate your own nervous system before attempting to change the world, and to remember that even within adversarial systems, compassion is a radical and transformative force.

Nicolle is based in Canada, and you can follow her on LinkedIn or visit her website here.
