  • Capt. Paul Watson w/ Geoff Ebbs
    Oct 16 2026
Hosts: Dave (He/Him) and Andy (He/Him)

Today on the show we are talking to Ecoradio Legend, Geoff Ebbs. I also want to replay an interview Geoff did with Capt. Paul Watson, Paul Watson Co-founded Green Peace and founded Sea Shepherd both of which he was kicked out of for focusing on direct action activism, he is now running the Paul Watson Foundation. This interview with Paul took place 20 years ago in 2006 when Paul was still leading Sea Shepherd and I think it’s a fantastic snapshot of the passion of direct action 20 years ago when the threats to whales was at the forefront of environmental activism.

We also have Life in Landscapes with Paul, a new segment all about the geological history of South East Queensland.

  • Art as Resistance w/ David Hinchliffe and Adrian Waters
    Sep 11 2026
Hosts: Dave (He/Him) and Andy (He/Him)

Today on the show we are going to be talking about art as resistance! Sometimes on Ecoradio we will interview people who take direct action protests or civil disobedience, sometimes we talk about letter writing campaigns or contacting politicians but there are so many different ways to protect the things we love. Today I want to focus on the making of art to advocate for our planet, so coming up I'm going to be talking to David Hinchliffe. David is an internationally recognised painter and former Brisbane city councilor, but most importantly David is a vocal advocate for the protection of Victoria Park.

    After that…

Ecoradio legend Linda has recorded a performance that Adrian Waters did two weeks ago at the closure of the heritage listed centenary pool in Victoria Park Barrambin. As we heard last week the centenary pool is being bulldozed to build a bigger olympic venue which will destroy trees around it and take more public space.

We will also be talking to Paul Revie from the group Friends of Parks Queensland about a survey he is leading this weekend at Tallebudgera Creek Conservation Park to find Illidge's ant-blue butterfly which hasn’t been seen since the 90’s.
