What is the PGT-A test?

Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy, is a genetic screening performed on embryos created through IVF. Its main purpose is to analyze the number and structure of chromosomes in each embryo to identify any abnormalities before implantation.

By detecting chromosomal issues, whether it is missing or extra chromosomes, PGT-A helps doctors select the healthiest embryos for transfer, which can increase the chances of a successful pregnancy and reduce the risk of miscarriage or genetic disorders.

This test is especially helpful for couples with a history of pregnancy loss, advanced maternal age, or repeated IVF failures.
