Dimension X presents “Beyond Infinity,” episode 16, originally broadcast on July 21, 1950. This Wheaties-sponsored NBC/WNBC drama was an original radio play by Villiers Gerson, directed by Edward King.

In an unnamed authoritarian European country, American correspondent Mr. Arnold encounters engineer Alan Wensler and a resistance movement threatened by secret-police pressure. At the center of their danger is Dr. Wensler’s extraordinary experiment in reducing objects to microscopic scale—an invention that opens onto a far stranger vision of science and the universe. The cast includes Les Damon, Joe DeSantis, Lotte Stavisky, E. A. Krumschmidt, and narrator Norman Rose.

Dimension X presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
