À propos de ce contenu audio

In Week 7 of the Delivered series, the Grow Group Podcast continues exploring the book of Exodus and the Israelites’ journey after crossing the Red Sea. As Israel begins traveling toward the Promised Land, they encounter their first battle in the wilderness against the Amalekites. The group discusses how this moment reveals an important picture of spiritual warfare and the reality that spiritual attacks often come after seasons of breakthrough or victory.

The story highlights Moses raising his hands during the battle while Aaron and Hur support him when he becomes weary. This moment demonstrates both dependence on God and the importance of community. Israel’s victory did not come through strength alone—it came through prayer, obedience, and faithful people helping carry the burden.

The team also reflects on how isolation makes believers vulnerable. Just as predators target animals separated from the herd, spiritual attacks often come when people drift away from community. Authentic Christian relationships provide encouragement, accountability, and spiritual support.

The conversation then turns to leadership lessons from Moses and the wisdom he receives from his father-in-law Jethro. Jethro encourages Moses to delegate responsibility rather than trying to carry every burden alone. This becomes an important lesson about humility, wise counsel, and empowering others to serve.

Finally, the episode introduces the Ten Commandments and their role in shaping Israel into a nation built around God’s authority and moral boundaries. The group previews a deeper discussion of the commandments in the next episode.
