    • From Underworld Family to Strip Club Owner — Bar 20 Owner Michael Trimble
      Feb 21 2026

      Send a text

Michael Trimble was born into one of Australia's most infamous underworld families. Related to Robert Trimbole, the drug kingpin made famous in Underbelly, and the son of the man who owned the legendary Daily Planet brothel, his life was never going to be ordinary.

Today, he owns Bar20 — one of Melbourne’s most well-known strip clubs.

In this episode, Michael tells his full story. From growing up with an infamous last name and being quite literally born in to the adult industry, to eventually running his own club, we go deep into the reality of the strip club business.

We talk about the rules, the fines, how the money really works, what most people don’t understand about the industry, and what it actually takes to survive in it.

      Nothing was off limits.

This is one of the most honest and eye-opening conversations I’ve had.

    • A Crocodile Bit His Mate At A Far North Queensland Rave | Jarrah Ella
      Feb 14 2026

      Send a text

In this episode, I sit down with Jarrah Ella, the man behind Social Club — the rural rave movement bringing serious energy to Far North Queensland.

We talk about what it’s really like growing up a music lover in a small town, building parties from scratch, and booking entertainment in Cairns for years while trying to create something bigger than just another night out.

From DJing in regional Australia to throwing Social Club events that have become cult favourites, Jarrah shares the realities of running events in FNQ — the wins, the chaos, and the stories you couldn’t make up.

Including the night a crocodile bit his mate at a party.

      Only in Far North Queensland.

Before phones. Before socials. Before the scene became an industry.

      Sean Quinn was in it.

In this episode, we go deep into Melbourne’s golden era of clubbing — the nights at Mansion, Dome, Chevron and QBar, the chaos of touring with The Prodigy, and what it was really like playing major festivals like Big Day Out, Summadayze and Kiss My Grass.

      This isn’t just nostalgia.

      We talk about:
      • The nerves before walking on stage
      • The highs and crashes of the dance music industry
      • Touring stories you won’t hear anywhere else
      • How Melbourne’s club scene exploded — and what changed

For anyone who lived through Melbourne’s club era, this one will hit.

And for those who didn’t — this is what it was really like.
