My granddaughter Elodie is talking a lot about death since she saw Oma (Christine) die at two. Thanks God, she does not know others are responsible for it. I started the podcast with Hitler. The Hitler phenomenon is only a special case of this riddle.

World War II began, when HITLER and STALIN both attacked Poland and split it up. Stalin thought Hitler was his socialist friend, and had all comrades in the Communist International liquidated, who were criticizing his cooperation with Hitler. The dummy--as all socialists--underestimated mental factors. He saw German uniforms, German politicians, German tanks, and so on. In actuality, he was looking at an archenemy of Russia, an Austrian, who wanted revenge for the destruction of the Austrian Empire. This explains why Hitler could deceive and surprise Stalin with his attack--and why World War II had such a different nasty face in the East from World War I.
