Cultivate Hope

De : Sarah Robinson
  • Résumé

  • This world does not discriminate with brokenness. At one point or another we will all experience the sting of a broken world, where our hope is tested. So, where do we start when we find ourselves in a season of hopelessness? Hope is more than a passive emotion…it’s a call to action; a call to start digging. According to 1 Peter 3:15 we should always be prepared to share our hope with others. Why? Because it is the power of testimony that plants hope and builds faith. This podcast allows those stories and testimonies, of people just like you and me, to cultivate that ground. Let’s dig!

    • Episode 17: Hope in the Midst of a Prison Cell - Robbie Neal
      Feb 28 2023
I’m so excited to introduce you to our guest today! I’ve known him since he was 16 years old, back when we worked together at skyline chili here in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’ve kept in touch through the years, as life has taken some twists and turns… such a turn, in fact, that my friend Robbie found himself in the midst of a prison cell searching for hope. Quick warning: This episode does contain drug and alcohol references, so that’s a tender spot for you, I ask that you steward, your heart wisely, as well as maybe saving this episode for later if you have little ears around. I wanted to have him here today, to share his story and his perspective from a physical place many of us will never experience in our lifetime… however everyone of us have battled with, or will find ourselves in the midst of a mental, emotional, or spiritual prison at some point…whether that stems from an external factor, or from something that we create ourselves. Robbie is going to share with us how we can also turn our rock-bottom into a firm foundation that can very well become a launching pad.
