    Registered Nurse Roger Dean was woking in Quakers Hill Nursing Home, NSW, and he had a secret. He was stealing painkillers and was about the be found out, so on the 18th November, 2011, knowing he was about to be found out, he did the unthinkable which would lead to the deaths of eleven of the elderly residents he was caring for.

    The two embarked on a seedy affair, and soon talk turned to them being together...but there was an obstacle in the way. Joe's wife, Maria. Together, the two hatched a plan that would result in Maria being found in the boot of her car, clinging to life, and a crime that captivated Australia.
