He was stealing painkillers and was about the be found out, so on the 18th November, 2011, knowing he was about to be found out, he did the unthinkable which would lead to the deaths of eleven of the elderly residents he was caring for.

      Maria Korp was a loving mother and wife. She and her husband Joe had been married for over a decade, had a child togehter and had just finished building their dream home in the Victorian suburb of Mickleham. Life, for the most part, was good. But Joe was bored and looking for more and he found it in the form of a online dating website where he met the young and impressionable Tania Herman.

      The two embarked on a seedy affair, and soon talk turned to them being together...but there was an obstacle in the way. Joe's wife, Maria. Together, the two hatched a plan that would result in Maria being found in the boot of her car, clinging to life, and a crime that captivated Australia.
