Pratap Ahir first heard of Meher Baba when he was a 14-year-old student. He had the good fortune to meet Baba for the first time on Oct 16, 1950, at Mahabaleshwar. Since then, he had many opportunities to play marbles and card games with Him. He also was able to sing before Him as part of the Poona Bhajan Mandali at all the sahavas events that followed including the times when Baba stayed at Guruprasad during the summer months in the late 50s and 60s.

Bal Natu was loved by so many of us for his gentle manner and natural humility. Newcomers to Baba would find Bal easy to talk to, friendly, and sincerely interested in them.

Bal was a prolific author, writing on many subjects in the Meher Baba lexicon.Today, Diana Goodheart will host discussion and reading from several of Bal Natu's books. Please also bring your own Bal Natu stories to share.

Additionally, as we approach Baba's New Life Anniversary, we encourage you to view this entertaining 1-hour video of Bal Natu recounting his introduction to Meher Baba, who almost immediately invited him to join the New Life!

A new open format freeform conversation about Baba.

Dear folks of Baba,

In our discussion, if you have any questions or ideas for a topic for us to delve into, don’t hesitate to share. Here is a suggestion for a topic:

How does Baba show up in your day?

What are some of the ways you remember Him—in humorous and serious ways, in crises, in heartache and grief, in quietude, in moments of gratitude, in confusion and turmoil?

What are some of the ways that Baba, from His side, enters your day? How does He make His presence known? Do you witness His loving intervention sometimes?

In His love, Jeff
