Grab your weizenbier! Grab your bratwurst! For it is Februar, AKA German Month, on the Code Purple Podcast. Before the guys set off to Germany, they take a brief detour to the wily, windy moors of Yorkshire and discuss the polarising recent release, "Wuthering Heights" (2026, dir. Emerald Fennell). The film choices are M (1931, Dir. Fritz Lang), Werner and the Wizard of Booze (1990, dir. Niki List) and Toni Erdmann (2016, dir Maren Ade). The guys regret to inform that this is the only episode of this month as technical difficulties prevented the release of a B-Side episode, as teased in "Brief January". Don't fret too much, however, as these difficulties have since been overcome and it should be on to the new schedule for next month.

It might be Brief January, but this episode is just as long as the last! Worry not, faithful listener, we've devised a solution to this, which we explain near the end of this episode. In the meantime, tune in as the guys discuss 90-minute films and extended plays (EPs). The films are The Cameraman (1928, dir. Edward Sedgwick, Buster Keaton), Persona (1966, dir. Ingmar Bergman), and Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000, dir. Danny Leiner). The EPs are Watery, Domestic (1992), Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun Is a Mass of Incandescent Gas) (1994) by They Might Be Giants and Vroom Vroom (2016) by Charli XCX.

New year, new episode of the Code Purple Podcast. What better way to nurse that New Year's hangover than by unwinding to the soothing sound of Osian, Luke and James' film and album discussions? As well as the recent release The Mastermind (2025, dir. Kelly Reichardt), the guys discuss films and albums of the 2000s. The films are Adventureland (2009, dir. Greg Mottola), Electroma (2006, dir. Thomas Bangalter, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) and Dreamcatcher (2003, dir. Lawrence Kasdan). The albums are Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (2005) by Paul McCartney, Original Pirate Material (2002) by The Streets and From Under the Cork Tree (2005) by Fall Out Boy.
