  • When the Lights Go Out: Finding Strength in Adversity
    Jun 26 2026

This week, I’m sharing a real-life tale of unexpected challenges and creative solutions—a sudden power outage in the middle of a busy afternoon. Ever had one of those days where nothing goes as planned? Between a Zoom call with a prospect, prepping cakes to send out, and getting ready for a hot wings (well, chicken legs) challenge at our Elders Quorum activity, I quickly learned just how dependent I am on electricity for, well, pretty much everything!

But here’s where the story gets interesting. With no power, I had to get resourceful—melting butter in my hot car for frosting, switching to a gas grill recently vacated by a sparrow family, and scrounging up a battery-powered printer to get shipping labels out on time. The end result? Everything got done—even if not quite the way I’d planned.

This episode is really about leaning into life’s difficulties and embracing creative problem-solving. I share how these inconvenient moments teach us strength we can’t develop any other way—just like those baby sparrows need to break out of their shells themselves. So if you’ve ever longed for an easy, smooth path, join me as we reflect on why the struggle might actually be the blessing.

  • Acting on Promptings and Becoming the Person
    Jun 19 2026

This week, I’m taking a bite out of the topic of ministering—what it means, how it’s shifted over the years, and why many of us still struggle with it. Ever find yourself asking if you’re “doing enough,” or wondering what the checklist is supposed to look like now that home teaching has evolved into something so much less defined? I was recently at our ward conference and found myself in a discussion that inspired me to bring this conversation to the podcast. If you missed my comment there, you’ll catch it here.

But here's the real meat (or cake!) for this episode: ministering isn’t just about doing assigned tasks; it’s about becoming a certain kind of person. I share some thoughts and personal stories—including a “Kevin day” that ended up meaning more than I expected—about acting on generous thoughts and being that person who reaches out, even if there's no response. How might our relationships change if we stopped worrying about the checklist and focused on being present, kind, and proactive?

As you head into your day (or weekend!), take a minute to consider: who could use a little chocolate cake, or just a message from you? Let’s see what sweetness comes from simply being there for each other.

  • The One by One Ministry of Christ Ep. 251
    Jun 12 2026

This week, I'm digging deep into my personal study of 3rd Nephi—the Book of Mormon chapters that capture Christ’s visit to the Americas after His resurrection. Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to stand in that crowd, to hear the voice from heaven, and to come one by one to the Savior? I find myself amazed by both the timing and the tenderness of these moments.

Together, let’s walk through these chapters and imagine what it must have felt like to not only witness miracles, but to experience them individually—one by one. From feeling the prints of the nails, to being healed, to seeing the children blessed, these verses remind me that Christ’s love and ministry are always personal and tailored for each soul. If you need a reminder this week about how individual and intentional the gospel really is, this conversation is for you. As you listen, I hope you’ll ask yourself: what would your testimony be, if you had been there?

  • Navigating Judgments and Growth: Reflections on Repentance, Forgiveness, and Sunday Best
    Jun 5 2026

This week, I'm getting real about something that's been on my mind for a while: how our early messaging and expectations shape the way we see others—especially in church. Teaching institute and revisiting Elder Neil Anderson's "The Divine Gift of Forgiveness" has me reflecting on the complexities of repentance, and why change isn't always instant or easy.

I open up about a moment from my own experience on the High Council, when an unexpected reaction to someone's choice of Sunday attire challenged me to confront old judgments. It's honest, a little uncomfortable, but ultimately a reminder that what matters most is not the clothes we wear, but the direction we’re heading on our spiritual journey. If you've ever felt stuck in old habits or discouraged by slow progress, you're not alone. Together, we're all trying to take one step closer to becoming like the Savior, even if it takes more time than we'd hoped.

This episode is an invitation to be gentle with yourself on the path—and maybe to laugh about mismatched socks along the way. Let’s look for those sweet nuggets of goodness in our imperfect efforts and keep moving forward.

  • You Matter More Than You Think: Everyday Influence and the Art of Kind Words
    May 29 2026

This week, as school winds down and the rhythms of summer begin, I’m sharing a story that’s been resonating with me and my group coaching clients—a simple yet powerful reminder that we often have a bigger impact than we realize. Maybe you’re settling into the summer break, or maybe life is just changing pace, but wherever you are, I want to dig into how small acts and simple words can ripple out in ways we never expect.

I revisit one of my all-time favorite TED Talks—a story about lollipops, college nerves, and how an offhand moment can change the entire course of someone’s life. We’re talking about being seen, making a difference (even when you have no idea you’re doing it), and the importance of sharing gratitude with the people who have touched your life.

Let’s lean into this new season with an abundance of kindness. Be generous with your compliments, tell people when they’ve made a difference, and remember: you might be the person who’s quietly changed everything for someone else—whether you know it or not.

  • Discovering Your Divine DNA: Why You’re Stronger Than You Think
    May 22 2026

This week, I'm taking a fresh look at something that's been cropping up in my life—perspective. What if, instead of asking God to give us what we want, we started asking Him to show us a glimpse of what we're actually capable of? During a recent walk (inspired by a simple exercise challenge), I found myself wondering about the gap between what I believe I can do and what my Heavenly Father knows I’m capable of. How much more could we accomplish if we truly understood our divine DNA?

I'm also sharing insights from a recent coaching call with my group clients, where one member showed vulnerability and worried it made her look weak—when in reality, her honesty and resilience inspired everyone. I know I’m not the only one who sometimes feels inadequate or suffers from imposter syndrome, but here’s the twist: Most people only see your strength and assume you’re doing better than you think you are. So here's my invitation: Let’s lean into the magnificent truth that you are stronger, better, and more impactful than you know—simply because of who you are and your divine heritage.

  • Confronting Heavy Thoughts and Embracing Your God-Given Gifts
    May 15 2026

This week, I'm flying solo but bringing you nuggets of wisdom fresh from a recent conference that really made me pause and reflect. Have you ever stopped to consider how those heavy or discouraging thoughts you have might just be limiting beliefs—or even lies? I dive into why that simple idea struck me so profoundly and how it connects to stories and struggles we've talked about before.

At the heart of this episode, I revisit the parable of the talents, this time through a more personal lens. What if it's not just about using our gifts, but about how we view ourselves and our willingness to be visible? I share candid thoughts about how fear of being seen—or worry about what others think—can keep us hiding our abilities, both in business and in faith.

If you've ever felt held back by self-doubt or the feeling that you're just not "good enough," this one's especially for you. What limiting beliefs might be souring your life, and are you ready to challenge them? Join me as we explore how changing our mindset can open up both spiritual and personal growth. I can't wait to hear your thoughts.

  • Leaning Into Discomfort Leads to Personal Progress
    May 8 2026

I've been thinking about conflict this week—and not just the kind that involves a heated argument or a workplace showdown. This episode, I get personal about how I've often dodged difficult conversations, both in my career at FedEx and in my everyday relationships. What does it really mean to avoid discomfort, and how might that be holding us back? If you've ever found yourself sidestepping those cringe-worthy moments, this one’s for you.

But here's the twist that hit me today: what if we saw conflict—especially internal conflict—as our greatest opportunity for growth? Whether it's wrestling with our own identity, tackling new challenges in business (like getting comfortable on video!), or facing tough gospel questions, I dive into why our sticking points might actually be our launching pads. Maybe it’s time to stop equating conflict with contention, and start seeing those uncomfortable moments as the very places where transformation happens. Think about it: Are you leaning away from conflict, or leaning into growth?
