    In our first Origins story, we hear the story of Josh Riedy, currently drumming for That's the Breaks out of Columbus, OH. Josh, aka Buckitty Beats, is an accomplished drummer with several degrees, years of experience, and a passion and talent for bucket drumming. He also slays on the drum kit with bands across the CBUS region.

    Josh shares the challenges of graduating college and finding his path, from losing his muse in the jazz community, to finding it again (with a bit of faith and a lot of bucket drumming), and through a serious injury and back into the daylight. Its an amazing story.

    We spent some time with Scott Lee, and talked music, and history! Scott Lee is a folk singer and songwriter originally from Dayton, Ohio. He has spent much of his life studying Americana and traditional music, which he grew up loving. His influences include pioneers like Jimmie Rodgers, Woody Guthrie, and Hank Williams, as well as honky-tonk legend Ernest Tubb, poetic songwriter Townes Van Zandt, and blues great Lightnin' Hopkins. Scott's mission with his music and writing is to add his own style and perspective to the folk music tradition. Currently, Scott is lead vocals and rhythm guitar for the band Scott Lee & The Wanderers.

    Matt 'Stylie' Steidle and broomwatr talk a little bit about 7-string guitars and the inspiration to play something different, then share some ideas on how to think about legacy in your artistic career. We challenge ourselves to write a song based on some random parameters, knowing that legacy doesn't always come from logical space but from small foundations. We share some branding tips for artists and musicians, discuss some recent musical collabs, and Matt plays his original tune Lover's Fool!
