 In today's Cattlemen's Congress Conversation, host Ron Hays features his conversation with Montie Soules, Executive Secretary and CEO for the American Shorthorn Association. Shorthorns have been an important part of Congress since year one- and we get a state of the breed from Montie- and they discuss the EDGE show held by the breed, where cattle are judged by both genomic EPD information and live showring placings. Ron then talks with the Superintendent of the very first Wagyu Breed show at Congress, Rhonda Heskett, who ranches near Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The first Wagyu show has attracted entries from three states- and Heskett believes the breed show future years will grow.
