      Symposium 8 Model Performance in Community Risk Reduction is approaching. The event is scheduled for February 20-24, 2024 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There are many great model programs and topics planned for the event, including several highlighting risk reduction strategies and education focused on the concern of Youth Firesetting.

      In this episode of CRR Radio, Project Manager Stephen Hrustich speaks with Brent Smith, Training Chief, from Cedar Rapids Fire Department, and Michael Weller, Training Specialist overseeing the CRR curriculum at the U.S. National Fire Academy.

      The discussion focuses on the challenges of youth firesetting, how agencies may or may not be addressing concerns in their own communities, and how to work toward proper education, strategies, partnerships, and effective community-based initiatives.
