We challenge the need to be perfect and replace “I’ll do it when…” thinking with a simple commitment to show up and do our best. We also explore why authenticity is becoming the real advantage online as AI makes polished content easy to copy.
    • perfectionism as procrastination and a confidence killer
    • choosing a “best week” mindset over chasing an impossible perfect week
    • dropping the pressure stack and allowing realistic routines
    • how the entrepreneurial content culture is shifting away from curated polish
    • personal brand as a differentiator in the AI era
    • using AI like a virtual assistant while keeping our voice authentic
    • why behind-the-scenes stories build trust better than highlight reels

  • What If Your Why Outgrows Your Plan
    Mar 30 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

I share how my reason for becoming an entrepreneur starts with the need for freedom as a single mum and shifts over time into creativity, legacy and impact. Along the way I talk honestly about COVID, loss, rebuilding slowly and the moment I realise I have already built a brand before.

    • my original why rooted in being present for my son and choosing my own hours
    • the reality of juggling work and parenting even with support
    • my background as a performer and what self-employment teaches you
    • how COVID forces a pivot away from events
    • unexpected skills gained through years in my dad’s company
    • stepping back after losing my dad and returning at my own pace
    • my why evolving into creativity, legacy and client impact
    • remembering past wins when confidence dips
Ask yourself what is my why and see if it’s changed, see if it’s evolved.

  • Starting Strong: Why Done Beats Perfect In 2026
    Jan 2 2026

    Send a text

The calendar flipped, the pressure spiked, and the myth of perfect plans started shouting again. So we sat down on New Year’s night to tell the truth about momentum, grief, messy starts, and why shipping imperfect work beats waiting for a flawless life to show up. After a brutal 2025 that took a lot and taught even more, we’re back with a simple promise: protect the work that moves the needle and let everything else take a number.

We unpack how “done is better than perfect” becomes more than a slogan when you’re tired, behind, or overwhelmed. You’ll hear how month‑by‑month planning can outrun six‑month fantasies, why to‑do lists quietly turn into traps, and how a single protected block each day can rebuild momentum fast. We get specific about time blocking, defining one daily outcome, and focusing on small, repeatable actions that actually drive revenue: publishing clear offers, starting honest conversations, following up, and iterating in public. No hacks, no gloss, just a practical rhythm you can adopt today.

There’s more in the pipeline. We preview new guests who will bring fresh angles on building a business without burning out, and we invite you to explore our sister show, A Woman’s Power Unfiltered, which amplifies voices across ages and stages. The theme is consistent: simple systems, real stories, and progress that compounds. If you’ve been waiting for permission to start before you feel ready, consider this your green light.

If this resonates, follow the show, share it with someone who needs momentum more than motivation, and leave a quick review. Your support helps more builders find practical tools and a kinder way to grow this year.

  • The Power of Decisive Action in Business and Life
    Sep 29 2025

    Send a text

Decision-making is the foundation of both business success and a fulfilling life. Yet we rarely acknowledge how these choices, both conscious and unconscious, shape our entrepreneurial journey. When we avoid making decisions, we drift—and drifting rarely leads to the business or life we truly want.

Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I've learned that thoughtful decision-making transformed my small pamper events business into a thriving events company handling everything from children's birthdays to adult celebrations. Did I make perfect choices every time? Absolutely not! But consistently making decisions, rather than avoiding them, propelled my business forward.

Finding balance is crucial. A business consuming 99% of your energy while leaving only 1% for personal life might grow initially, but such growth isn't sustainable. My father would remind me, "You're putting yourself last," emphasizing that business success loses its meaning if you never actually enjoy life. Many entrepreneurs face decision paralysis—sometimes from uncertainty, sometimes from fear of outcomes (both positive and negative). But avoiding decisions leads to stagnation, wasted time, and countless missed opportunities.

What makes a good decision? Simply put, it aligns with YOUR desired outcome, not someone else's. This explains why blindly copying another entrepreneur's path often fails; their choices match their unique circumstances, not yours. When mistakes happen (and they will), avoid spiraling into self-doubt. Instead, ask: "How can I rectify this? What's my next step?" Every misstep contains valuable lessons if you're willing to learn rather than dwell on failure.

This week, identify one area of your business where you've been drifting and make a decision—even a tiny one. That's how you begin creating the business and life you truly want. Sign up for my email list in the show notes to receive our new freebie that will help guide your decision-making process!
