Dr. Adam Hoverman, a family and public health physician from Nanaimo, BC, joins us to talk about bringing more humanity into healthcare. We explore narrative medicine, group medical visits, and co-production, and what it looks like for Dr. Hoverman to put patients at the center of care.

In this episode, PhD candidate Anthony Duffy explains the challenges that hinder successful digital interventions, such as competing priorities and differing validation methods between health practitioners and designers. Anthony is currently exploring how to scale co-design processes to gather insights from thousands of participants simultaneously, aiming to bridge the divide between traditional small-scale qualitative feedback and large-scale clinical requirements. Dr. Lawrence and Anthony also discuss the rise of the "Digital Health Citizen," a movement that encourages individual health responsibility and challenges the historical, top-down hierarchy of medicine.
