À propos de ce contenu audio
I couldn't think of a better inaugural episode than with one of my closest friends, Branden Morgan. Branden is a member of the Writer's Guild of America, a feature film director, an actor, and a highly successful producer, writer, and narrator of his true crime podcast, The Devil Within, which recently released its third season, detailing the chilling murders committed by David Berkowitz, better known as the Son of Sam.
I was a guest on The Devil Within, where I appeared on episode 4 of season 3. We talked about some of the classic cinema that was released around the same time the murders were taking place. Recently, Branden and I sat down together to discuss the 1999 Spike Lee film 'The Summer of Sam.' The film tells a fictional story around a non-fiction murder spree that shook all of New York in 1976. We discussed the amazing cast, the depiction of Berkowitz, the direction of Spike Lee, and where we think it ranks in his filmography.
We hope you enjoy our take on a film that, for many reasons, was overlooked in 1999, 'The Summer of Sam.' Please be sure to listen to all available episodes of The Devil Within.
