Welcome to the most confusing and marked trail I've ever hiked! Grand Rouge Park sits at the beautiful intersection of the Rouge and Grand Rivers, but the trail system needs work. I struggled to find where the trail began, constantly had to recheck signs and maps, and then lost the trail completely and (quickly) walked back to the park.

We're closing in on our 100-mile goal on the North Country Trail! Today we hike a portion that overlaps with the Cannonsburg Trail through beautiful Cannonsburg, Michigan! I was forced to begin my hike on a road portion of the trail, but we quickly find the Cannonsburg Trail and our hike becomes more interesting.
