Join Granddaughter Crow (aka Dr. Joy Gray), a Medicine Woman, Shamanic Practitioner, and member of the Navajo Nation as she interviews authors and creators on what they believe in.     Halloween gets all the attention, but Samhain is where the season turns into something deeper. We’re talking about the real meaning behind Samhain (often said like “Sowin”), why it sits on the witch’s Wheel of the Year as a cross quarter day, and how that timing connects to what we can feel in the natural world as autumn darkens and the year shifts toward winter. If you’ve ever heard “the veil is thinning” and wondered what that even means, we make it plain and practical.

    Jenny C. Bell shares how witches think about the invisible world and why Samhain isn’t the only time spiritual contact can feel stronger. We connect the dots between Samhain, Halloween, Day of the Dead, and All Souls Day, and we talk honestly about why this season brings up ancestor veneration, grief, curiosity, and a different relationship with death.
