 Do you believe that NFT’s are nothing more than expensive JPEGS? Web3 is introducing artists that traditionally produced their work as Jpegs and printed pictures in to a new model to share their art. An NFT is an asset that lives on a blockchain. What does that mean? it means they are protected by a smart contract that authenticates when it’s purchased. It gives the royalties directly to the artist with no middle man! It also creates legacy, so if the owner sells that NFT, the original artist is compensated forever. Behind the Jpeg highlights these emerging artists that are branching out and using this innovation to be a part of the Metaverse. I'm your Host, Tiffany Taylor. I studied fashion design and found myself in the world of interiors. Artists continually give me inspiration especially when I immersed myself in the artistic community in San Antonio. I interviewed craftsman, photographers, jewelry designers and painters. Behind the Jpeg was born out of my idea to share in the innovations of Web3 and specifically NFTs with traditional artists.
