    Jan 6 2026

    Send us a text

In this episode, I sit down with Roger Schnorrbusch, the owner of Park Wood Deli and the social media sensation known as “The Deli Guy.”

Roger shares his inspiring journey — from growing up in New Jersey and delivering newspapers as a kid, to working in restaurants instead of going to college, and learning the business from the ground up.

With relentless drive, Roger took over his first deli in Wyckoff in his early 20s, where he quickly learned what it takes to run a business. That experience became the foundation for Park Wood Deli, a place that’s far more than just great food — it’s built on community, family, and heart.

Roger’s positivity, energy, and humility shine through everything he does. His mom still keeps the books, his staff feels like family, and his followers see a man who leads by example. He reminds us that with hard work, gratitude, and kindness, anything is possible.

Dom shares what it felt like to open the doors to Bucky’s on October 31, 2024, and what it means to look back one year later at a thriving, tight-knit community built around great food and heart. We talk about the lessons he’s learned, the personal growth he’s experienced, and the pride that comes from turning a dream into something lasting.

He reflects on having his grandmother come cook in the shop, the traditions he’s honoring, and the legacy he’s working to build. Dom also gives us a glimpse of what’s ahead — the plans, the passion, and the purpose that continue to drive him forward.

  • Episode 62 - Corner Slice - Where Pizza, Music and Community Collide
    Nov 25 2025

    Send us a text

In this episode, we sit down with Mike Bergemann, owner of Corner Slice in Maplewood, NJ, recently voted #1 on NJ.com’s “101 Greatest Pizzas” for their iconic upside-down pie.

Mike’s journey is anything but ordinary. Growing up in New Jersey, his teenage dream was to be in a band. That dream took him on a road trip across the country to Portland, Oregon—where instead of finding just music, he discovered the culinary world. After a year of learning in kitchens out west, Mike returned east to continue pursuing music, but food kept calling him to the front stage.

With a unique mix of creativity, construction know-how, and management skills, Mike helped open legendary spots like Ivan Ramen and Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop in NYC before teaming up with his brother Pete to launch Corner Slice. Along the way, Mike realized something important: the restaurant world was his band. From the energy of the kitchen to the collaboration with his team, building a restaurant became his version of playing music—only now the guests are part of the show.

When the pandemic shifted the restaurant landscape, Mike brought his vision home to NJ—where it has since blossomed into one of the state’s most exciting pizza shops. Corner Slice isn’t just about great food. It’s a place where Mike creates a playful, welcoming universe for both kids and adults—a spot where community, creativity, and seriously good pizza come together.
