Kintsugi is the art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold, treating breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. Sound familiar? We people are moulded by the things that have happened to us, and we may break along the way, often forgetting, that the cracks are what makes us beautiful.
