Bio: Dr. Kristen Schuyten, PT, DPT, MS, SCS, CSCS is a Physical Therapy Clinical Specialist with MedSport at Michigan Medicine, faculty with the University of Michigan Department of Dance and Physical Therapist with the Wellness Initiative with the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance (U-M SMTD). She holds her Board Certification in Sports through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She performs faculty and staff training in concussion and emergency management of the performer, screening, and treatment of performing arts patients and coordinates and performs on-site triaging, backstage treatment services for U-M SMTD. She has developed a post-operative protocol for returning to dance, a post-concussion return plan for university performers, and injury risk assessments for figure skaters, gymnasts, and instrumentalists. For over 15 years, she has coordinated musculoskeletal injury risk screening and neurological baseline testing for the U-M SMTD including analysis of individual screenings and customized exercise prescription. Dr. Schuyten has been a volunteer physiotherapist for the US Figure Skating national medical team since 2013, coordinating care for local, regional, and national figure skating championships, as well as providing support for the team during Olympic and World Championship events. Dr. Schuyten has delivered presentations at both national and international conferences focusing on concussion, injury risk assessment, and wellness related to the performing arts. Additionally, she provides lectures and workshops on these topics at other colleges and universities, dance studios, skating rinks, and online educational modules regarding Performing Arts Rehabilitation. She is a member of the Faculty Council at the University of Michigan Concussion Center and has collaborated on several papers that highlight research regarding post-concussive return to learn and return to performance progressions for university students in the performing arts.

Yasi and Steven get the unique opportunity to talk with one of the stars of Netflix's reality game show "The Ultimatum: Queer Love", Magan Mourad. Before she was exploring marriage with her partner, Dayna, she was competing at the U.S. National Weightlifting championship and becoming a fitness influencer. We get to chat with her about fitness in her life, her goals as an influencer, issues with sexual identity and family, how she survived the show through weightlifting and classical piano, and what's next for her.

Dr. Stephanie Greenspan is a performing arts physical therapist with post-graduate residency and fellowship training and board specialties in orthopaedic and neurologic physical therapy. As an Adjunct Associate Professor at Samuel Merritt University, she studies injuries in circus artists and 3D motion in aerialists. She chairs the Surveillance of Injuries for Research on Circus (SIRC) working group that created a consensus statement for injury surveillance in circus and a guideline for concussion management in the circus arts. She is also co-editor of the Sciences section for the journal Circus Arts, Life and Sciences. She founded Artletic Science in 2021 with the mission to enhance the health and performance of artist athletes through research, education, and physical therapy. As a clinician, she works with recreational to professional circus artists and dancers with a focus on decreasing injury risk and optimizing performance.

Shenea Stiletto is a former Two-Time World Champion AcrobaticGymnast , USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame Member, Survivor of USA Gymnastics, Honorary Olympian for 2 Olympic Tours, SAG Stunt Woman, and a World Class Circus Handbalancer inducted into the World Acrobatic Hall of Fame, who has performed with elite entertainment companies worldwide. Shenea’s career highlights have included performing the lead character and acrobatic role in a Cirque Du Soleil production, in which she performed in Varekai as The Promise character.

Most recently, Shenea toured with Cirque Du Soleil’s newest production SongBlazers, and is the face of Cirque Du Soleil’s first ever Wine Brand Collaboration with StagsLeap Winery. Shenea Stiletto is also a circus trainer, educator, and circus advocate as Founder of for the Circus Arts Guild of America. The Circus Arts Guild of America was the strategic partner for the historic Circus Arts Industry Roundtable at the White House in 2024. The White House Roundtable in discussion with the Department of Labor, included panel representation from the National Endowment for the Arts, OSHA, U.S Center for SafeSport, Actors Equity, American Musical Artists Guild of America, and Circus Arts Industry Advocates.
