  • Taurus Full Moon October 2026
    Oct 18 2026
Accurate Astrology: Week of October 19th, 2026The week opens with the Moon in Aquarius. With the Sun in Libra and the Moon in an air sign, there’s a real vibe in the air. The buzz is all about verbal communication: let’s connect, let’s share, let’s network. That’s emphasized Monday into Tuesday.A caveat: Aquarius is a fixed sign, so its energy is tenacious. It likes to stay on task. Yes, Aquarius is the free spirit, the lover of change and revolution, but it pursues all of that in a sustainable way. It isn’t really erratic, though it can look that way from the outside. Whether it’s one’s rising sign, Sun, or Moon, the Aquarian has been contemplating what they’re fixed on, and then suddenly seems to act. That surprises the people around them, but it’s no surprise to the Aquarian. It was never spontaneous. It was “okay, now I’m ready,” a matter of timing or energetic momentum. These days are well aspected for making connections and getting ideas moving, but remember that Venus is retrograde. Take care in how you approach people with the idea you’re so jazzed about. How it’s received matters, and so does how you convey it. Times given in this forecast are ET.Monday: Assess and Tease It OutLater in the day, Mars opposes the Moon, and in the wee hours of Tuesday, Venus squares Pluto. Boiled down, what we feel, want, and need may conflict with someone else’s agenda. Think power plays. So use that Aquarius air-sign Moon to assess the situation, have conversations, and understand where people are. Find the potential blocks and tugs of war, so you can present or broker your ideas in ways that are more acceptable and understandable.Tuesday: Think Big, Stay the CourseTuesday can bring a lot of excitement, a sense that this can happen and that can happen, and everything seems really big. Bring it into alignment with your core initiative. What is the long-term goal? This is fixed-sign energy, willing to go the distance. It’s not a fly-by-night “grab it and move on.” It’s about growing the project, improving communication and alignment, and helping people understand how to expand it.This is achievable. The valuable piece is understanding where everyone is on Monday and Tuesday. Once we get past early evening Tuesday, around 7 PM ET, we hit that lovely juice of connecting and coalescing. So these are roll-up-your-sleeves days to negotiate, mitigate, and get on the same page. Then celebrate in the evening as everything starts to gel.Wednesday: Finish, Then FlowThe Moon goes void of course at 4:42 a.m. and enters Pisces at 8:35 a.m. A void Moon is a good time to organize and finish things up, not to start anything new. That’s especially true with Venus retrograde and Mercury about to turn retrograde. See where all that good energy landed and put things in place.Once the Moon enters Pisces, communication continues, but much of it is nonverbal. We work with touch and intuition, sensing who’s the right candidate for what. Verbal conversations and paperwork are still fine, ideally signed before Mercury goes retrograde. But go by whether it feels right. Don’t force the square peg into the round hole. Find the happy place for that square peg, and be willing to leave things open until they flow and fit.In the late afternoon and early evening, the Moon and Uranus form a hard aspect, which means people are moving faster than they’re concentrating. Know where you are in space and pay attention to where others are. If you tend to shoot out ideas without thinking about how they’ll land, sit with it for a couple of minutes and ask, “Is this the best way to say this?” Uranus can shake everything up, and that’s not always bad. It’s better when we’re conscious of what we’re doing and why. With the Moon in Pisces, it behooves us to be sensitive to how people feel. That’s harder for some than others. You may notice that certain people have a knack for calming things down, while others thrive on attention, on mishaps, on shooting things out and then doubling down. That phrase, “doubling down,” gives me a headache. It seems to have blown up in the 21st century, and it’s the antithesis of how we’re supposed to grow. We’re meant to expand and open up to new concepts, to say “oh, that’s a new way to think about it” instead of “no, this is the only way.” That bludgeon is old-world stuff, and it’s hanging around too long. I think that’s because we’re approaching a point where things will catapult and shift. Seat belts fastened. I’m optimistic.Thursday: Fill Your CupThursday the 22nd is juicy, lovely energy, with the Moon in Pisces moving toward a trine with Mercury in Scorpio. It’s saying: be willing to feel. That sensitivity and empathy is what we want to enlarge, because there’s a desert of it in some of the loudest voices and world leaders right now. Walking in someone else’s moccasins is not a world they know. So let the water energy pour in. ...

  • Maximize Results: Waxing Moon October 2026
    Oct 11 2026
Pluto goes Direct on October 15, 2026 at 10:41 PM ET… opens a cycle when deep secrets surface.MONDAY, OCT 12: Moon in Scorpio. Drill DownToday is rather intense. With Pluto turning direct later in the week, it’s as though we can smell what is coming. Whatever you’re exploring, discussing, or researching, it’s deep-dive energy, not surface skidding. If you have a lot of water or earth in your horoscope, or a lot of fixed-sign energy (Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, and Taurus), you may feel at odds with the day. You want something to happen a certain way and it may not track the way you intend.Remember that Venus is retrograde, so we’re being asked to evaluate what we feel we want or deserve, and there can be a sense of lack. With the Moon in Scorpio, it can feel like our reach just isn’t wide enough to capture it. So the best use of today is to drill down on the one thing that really is your priority. We’re in the waxing Moon cycle, after the Libra New Moon over the weekend. That New Moon dangled opportunity and potential. Scorpio asks what you’re really committed to make happen. When there are so many options, they don’t always feel like opportunities. Go into your gut. What drives us hardest today? What do I want to sink my teeth into? It’s not necessarily a delicious piece of pie, especially if you’re very Scorpionic or have a strong Pluto or Mars… but it’s the goal you want. You may feel a pull, kind of an undertow. Ask yourself whether this is something you’re choosing consciously, or more of a dog-with-a-bone drive. With the waxing Moon, make sure your aim has some freshness to it, a sense of renewal, and that it isn’t just beating old business. Then plan it out so you get the maximum reward for your effort.TUESDAY, OCT 13: Void-of-Course Moon All Day: Follow ThroughThe Moon goes void of course at 4:46 a.m. ET and stays void until it enters Sagittarius at 8:59 p.m. Set things up before the void, so you’re clear on where your energy is going. Scorpio is very good at following through, especially on the hard thing: I am going to sit here until I find the answer. I am going to research this until there’s nothing else to find.A classic example, with Venus retrograde and the Moon void in Scorpio, is tackling the area where you’ve got all that old stuff in storage, or clearing out an older relative’s apartment. This is wonderful disseminating energy. You move through it in a methodical, directed way, ready to recycle it and let it move into another chapter.Sagittarius arrives in the evening. It can feel a little drifty, pie in the sky, that first night.WEDNESDAY, OCT 14: Moon in Sagittarius. Open UpThings take better shape as we move past early morning. Some of us may get an electric jolt of inspiration that derails the plan for the day. Maybe there’s a segue or a detour that needs to happen to let possibilities come our way.Sagittarius is a fire sign, mutable and very adaptable. For fire and air signs especially, this can feel like an invitation: pick up momentum and go much faster than thought, or this candidate is ready to run with me. Even with Venus retrograde, we can still fast-track the things we’ve been working on and the connections they make, when pre-established.Venus retrograde can also bring an opportunity or a job where we negotiate the money or the start date. You can taste it, but it hasn’t taken shape yet. If you were born with Venus retrograde, you’re often in your groove right now. You intuitively know when to take action and how things are unfolding. For those of us with Venus direct, it’s more obtuse. We can’t read the signals as well, while people born with Venus retrograde feel it in their bones: this is familiar, things take time, and you know when to act.THURSDAY, OCT 15: Moon in Sagittarius. ConnectThe Moon is juiced from dawn until it goes void at 5:56 p.m. ET, and the sense of opportunity carries beyond that. Next weekend Mercury goes retrograde, so on the 15th and into the wee hours of the 16th we’re in a transition space: Venus retrograde, Mercury slowing in the sky. For people who are intuitive and open to receiving, it’s a transmission time. As October moves toward Samhain (here in Mexico, Día de Muertos), the veil is thinning. With both planets retrograde, it’s easier to tap into ancestral knowledge and angelic guidance if you take moments of quiet to listen.Thursday evening you can be at a party full of people and still have a sense of connectivity coming through in ways other than direct. That’s how we can reach someone who is suffering, or someone we can’t be with because they’re in another time zone, or because they’ve passed on. Through love, we can energetically connect, heal, and transmit.I say this as someone who has been through loss and grief, and show me a person who has lived to a certain age and hasn’t. In the raw stages, it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to open up to these new ways of ...

  • Libra New Moon 2026
    Oct 4 2026
We look forward to the Libra New Moon on October 10, 2026 at 11:50 a.m. ET. This week, the waning moon cycle is for finishing up, focusing, recycling, and shedding. The times I give are ET, so adjust for where you live.I look at what each day is about energetically. How that lands for you depends on your individual horoscope: how you do life, the people you interface with, and what’s on your agenda. When I talk about the sign the moon is in, I highlight the areas of life that moon works well with, which may shift depending on your personal horoscope and what’s going on for you.Don’t have your personal horoscope wheel? Here’s a link to get yours.THE BACKDROP: VENUS RETROGRADE IN SCORPIOVenus went retrograde last week and stays retrograde through mid-November, so keep these themes in mind. In Scorpio, she asks us to re-evaluate how we do love and money. Venus, goddess of love and beauty, is about money because she reflects what we think we deserve. In our society, what we’re paid reflects that. Some people are comfortable with enough to cover expenses; they don’t need to stretch or want more. Others work hard, want and need more money and more possessions, and yet always feel a lack. You know your own relationship with love, money, and what you deserve, and Venus retrograde is saying: “How’s that working for you?”Sometimes the love or money we want isn’t coming in. Perhaps the people nearest and dearest aren’t available, or there are limits. Or we look at someone and think: this person isn’t there for me the way I need them to be. It’s an evaluating time, and that’s valuable. The same goes for work: maybe there’s a limit to what we can ask for in our occupation, or a company repeatedly withholds the raise or acknowledgment we deserve. If a relationship or work environment isn’t giving you validation, it might be time to cast your net for another job or new friendships.People from the past can also come back into our lives. For instance, I haven’t seen my college roommate in person for 20 years, though we’re in regular touch, and I’ll see her this week. For some of us, an old lover may crop up, which might be exciting — or meh.In general, it’s not a great time to launch a new product or hang out your shingle, unless it has to do with renovation, recycling, antiques, or anything that revalues something that’s been put aside. Venus retrograde runs through mid-November.MONDAY, OCTOBER 5: FINISH SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OFThis moon in Leo is a wonderful time to complete things, especially a personal accomplishment. With Venus retrograde, you may not get all the kudos you deserve, but what matters is how you feel about it. How strongly this lands depends on whether something in your horoscope connects harmoniously with Leo, or which house Leo moves through, but overall it’s a creative thrust that builds into the evening.Be crystal clear about the message you want to send, and about what you want to receive from a project or conversation as opposed to what you need. We may get what we need but not exactly what we want. It’s also a super time to meet old friends and share reminiscences that give a sense of the positive and of expansion. As you go over old memories, mine for gold: see something you overlooked, or realize the intrinsic value you missed back then. Plumb the past with fresh perspective.TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6: PLAYFUL, THEN GET TO WORKThe moon goes void of course at 6:22 a.m. ET. When the moon is void, we’re NOT looking to move forward or take action. Work on what’s already in motion, finish up, and plan the next wave. In Leo, that can be creative, playful, even romantic and energized, a time to experiment and look at life with childlike abandon. Enjoy it, as long as whatever needs doing gets done, with time for serendipity. The moon enters Virgo at 10:53 p.m., and that’s when we roll up our sleeves and get things in place for the next day, with laser focus on what needs to happen. A good night’s sleep is restorative. Virgo likes what’s therapeutic for the body and ways to maximize what you want to get done. It can be a bit tunnel-visioned, so keep your main priority in focus.OCTOBER 7–8: VIRGO MOON. TUNE THE MACHINEThe moon goes void at 2:57 p.m. ET Wednesday. Use the morning to get out whatever messages you need to convey — prioritize. You can start new things in a waning moon, but it’s more productive to finish projects already in the works, because you’re going with the current instead of against it. If a long-term project continues past the new moon, address the pieces you want in place now so you can re-evaluate and push forward afterward. A Virgo moon supports figuring out how to fix something and make the machine hum. From mid-afternoon Wednesday, the moon stays void until it enters Libra at 4:11 a.m. ET Friday the 9th. That long void is a super time to take care of how the machine runs: work on things already in process, enhance health ...
