Welcome to The Art of Classiness, where two best friends, Robin and Deborah, talk about life, friendship, womanhood, relationships, pop culture, and all the things we are trying to figure out as adults.

Some weeks we are laughing about the ridiculous things people do. Some weeks we are talking through boundaries, self-worth, family dynamics, dating, and the ways women are expected to hold everything together. And sometimes we are talking about the bigger issues that deserve more attention.

This is not a podcast about having perfect manners or a perfect life. It is about trying to move through the world with self-respect, empathy, honesty, and a little humor.

If you like meaningful conversations, strong opinions, funny stories, and feeling like you are hanging out with friends who get it, you are in the right place.

  • Costumes & Consequences: Halloween Drama, Red Flags & Bad Decisions
    Oct 28 2026

Halloween is supposed to be about dressing up—not finding out who someone really is.

This week on The Art of Classiness, Robin and Deborah unpack four Halloween stories where the costumes are creative and the judgment is questionable. A woman’s costume disagreement takes an unexpected egg-shaped turn, an employee says winning the office costume contest cost him his job, a boyfriend’s best friend turns a couples’ costume into an unwanted group project, and a man dressed as a Breathalyzer ends up taking an actual breath test. Some are reported incidents, others are unverified Reddit accounts—but all give us plenty to discuss.

We’re debating the difference between concern and control, what happens when workplace “fun” gets personal, and whether a matching costume is an innocent coincidence or a very deliberate message. Plus, in Class or Crass: does spending big on your Halloween costume entitle you to keep everyone else out all night?

  • EP100: How to Work With Your Best Friend: Lessons From 100 Episodes
    Oct 21 2026

Going into business with your best friend sounds like a dream—but how do you protect the friendship when work, stress, and different expectations get involved?

This week on The Art of Classiness, Robin and Deborah are celebrating 100 episodes—and the fact that they are still friends. They share what building a podcast together has taught them about boundaries, honest communication, creative disagreements, and putting friendship first.

In this special anniversary episode, they go back to the beginning: what they thought they were creating, what they completely underestimated, and the “classiest blunders” they can finally laugh about now. They also unpack the friendship-first principles that have helped them keep going: dream big, protect mental health, stop keeping score, say the hard thing while it is still small, and assume good intent.

It’s an honest, funny look at building something with a friend—and making sure the friendship has room to grow alongside it.

Here’s to 100 episodes. Here’s to still being friends. And here’s to 100 more.

  • EP99: This Episode Will Piss You Off: Menopause, Abortion Bans, and the Cost of Not Listening
    Oct 14 2026

This week on The Art of Classiness, Robin and Deborah are back with another This Episode Will Piss You Off—and we are talking about the things women are too often expected to endure quietly.

Deborah unpacks menopause and the fact that declining estrogen can affect far more than hot flashes. We talk about why women are not given better information about their bodies, why female sexual health remains under-discussed, and why “that is just aging” is not an acceptable answer when something hurts or changes.

Robin explores abortion bans and pregnancy emergencies through the stories of women with wanted pregnancies who needed urgent medical care when things went wrong. We discuss what happens when doctors, hospitals, and lawyers are left deciding whether a pregnant patient is “sick enough” to receive care—and why a woman’s ZIP code should never determine whether she survives a pregnancy complication.

This episode includes discussion of menopause, painful sex, pregnancy loss, sepsis, abortion restrictions, and maternal death. Please take care of yourself while listening.
