    • Episode 58 - Fierce Persistence & Work Ethic Pay Off for Ivanka Farrell - a Really Good Interview
      Jan 25 2026

An unconventional childhood and a “never give up attitude” combined with extreme flexibility have led Ivanka Farrell on a journey of upward mobility as well as a front row seat to some of the most important people and campaigns of the past 2 decades.

Currently, Ivanka leads a large team at Bully Pulpit International (BPI), an outcomes agency at the intersection of business, politics snd policy.

In this interview Ivanka shares her story of courage, persistence, and growth from Jersey to DC and now Houston. Celebrating 15 years at BPI, and a new marriage, Ivanka’s positive attitude and fearlessness in taking care of her team and her family exhibit all the characteristics of a born leader. It has been my pleasure to have Ivanka on AEK, and I am honored to share her story.

You can find Ivanka on LinkedIn, where she has recently published her newsletter, “No One Else Wants To Say Thus” , on influence, culture, and advertising. Check it out!

Leave a message for Ivanka or me on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Instagram or Facebook. Subscribe to Another Empty Kitchen and please share this episode with anyone who might be interested in pursuing a career in media, advertising, or politics.

      Thanks for being here.

    • Episode 57 - Grief Is Not A Dirty Word: Interview with Nick Gaylord
      Dec 15 2025

Grief isn't something we fix. It's something we live with.

In this episode, I talk with Nick Gaylord, a force of nature who's goal is to change the world one grief story at a time. Nick has recently launched his newly rebranded podcast Grief Is Not A Dirty Word (formerly Our Dead Dads). Nick's mission is simple and powerful, change our perception of loss by making space for grief stories from every aspect of life.

Nick and I talk about loss, language, and what happens when we stop treating grief like a secret. This is a conversation about honesty, humanity, and the quiet courage it takes to speak what hurts.

    • Episode 56 - Revisiting Tough Broad Caroline Paul
      Nov 17 2025

While I reorganize my life, I am revisiting some of the most popular episodes from Another Empty Kitchen. This episode is very near and dear to my heart; my interview with author and badass adventure woman, Caroline Paul. Caroline shares inspiring experiences from her own life, as well as women who, in the later years of their lives, decided to step way out of their comfort zones and take on challenges they might never have imagined earlier in their lives. From climbing to the top of the Golden Gate Bridge, to bird watching to BASE jumping, Caroline shares these stories in her books, The Gutsy Girl and Tough Broad. She challenges all of us to get out doors, get into nature, change our perspective and maybe even add a few good years to our lives. I love this episode. Please give it a listen, whether it is your first visit to my podcast, or you are a loyal follower, I know you will get some inspiration from Tough Broad, Caroline Paul. Thanks for being here.
