Dating Over 50: Getting Your Mojo Back with Ray Schloss

What happens when dating over 50 collides with health, confidence, energy, and a completely different outlook on relationships?

In Season 5, Episode 16 of Digital Dating Over 50, Andrew sits down with Ray Schloss, a former Microsoft executive who spent 17 years with the company before turning his attention toward wellness, meditation, music production, and coaching.

Ray opens up about his experiences with online dating—from meaningful relationships and lasting friendships to bad dates, misleading profiles, and the frustration that eventually pushed him away from dating apps. Andrew and Ray compare their own experiences and talk about why meeting someone organically can feel very different from trying to build a connection through a screen.

The conversation then takes a deeper turn as Ray shares the health struggles that caused his energy to plummet after years as an endurance athlete. After extensive testing, he discovered his testosterone had fallen dramatically. Ray talks about his personal experience with hormone therapy, peptides, sleep, nutrition, exercise, and the process of rebuilding his energy and sense of well-being.

But what does all of that have to do with dating? Quite a lot.

Andrew and Ray discuss how feeling healthy, energetic, confident, and comfortable with yourself can change what you bring into a relationship. They also explore why relationships after 50 aren't necessarily about following the traditional path of marriage, kids, and building a life from scratch. At this stage of life, many of us already have careers, homes, families, and established lives—and we're trying to figure out what companionship, intimacy, and love should look like now.

It's an open, funny, and candid conversation about dating apps, attraction, aging, wellness, confidence, relationships, and finding connection in the second half of life.
