Representative Criag Lipscomb has been talking with the Alabama Marine Police about the increase in permit activity after the boating accident on Smith Lake.
Tournament fishermen feel "under attack" even though this permit has been in place for years. The main reason they feel under attack is due to lack of enforcement.
Rep. Lipscomb is working to get the wording, parameters and verbiage changed in an effort to help public safety and tournaments in the state.
