Listen as I read George Saunders short story, Al Roosten from the Short Stories website. All read in my Scottish accent.
Please be warned that there is some slight homophobic connotations in this story. I just pick things at random to read. No proof reading first.
I don't fully understand George's story but, despite some of my reservations during the recording, I fully commend him for putting it out there. Art is a difficult thing to hand over to others for their consumption.
Recorded in one sitting. No pauses. No edits. If I make a mistake in pronunciation it stays in there. If something makes me laugh it stays in there. If people spell things incorrectly or use incorrect grammar it stays in there.
