After the Apocalypse is a complete five-season post-apocalyptic science-fiction audio drama about what happens after everything familiar disappears.

The story follows ordinary people caught in the collapse of civilization and forced to figure out how to survive, whom to trust, what they are willing to fight for, and eventually how to build something new.

This is not a story about superheroes. It is survival fiction about people — flawed, frightened, funny, stubborn people — trying to make their way through a broken world. Across five seasons of serialized fiction, their stories intersect as communities form, loyalties shift, old assumptions fall away, and the survivors begin deciding what kind of world should come next.

Seasons 1 through 5 contain the complete After the Apocalypse story. The series is finished and can be listened to from beginning to end.

The podcast feed now continues as The Apocalypse Café, where I explore the world around After the Apocalypse through conversations, stories, ideas, behind-the-scenes material, and whatever else seems worth talking about while we wait to see what survives.

If you enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction, science fiction, survival stories, complete serialized audio dramas, and character-driven stories about rebuilding after catastrophe, start with Season One, Episode One.

After the Apocalypse - A story of pandemic survivalSeason one, Episode two The Ford of Death

The old man looked around. The river, the smoke, the light drizzle and the soft hump of the body making its way down stream to feed the rats of Atlanta.

He’d seen his share of death. He’d seen worse than this when he was in Africa and the far east where, until not too long-ago, death still stalked the muddy streets in the old ways.
