  • Acadia After Dark Fogcast Episode 36: Mutants of the East
    Jun 16 2026

In this episode of Fogcast, I sit down with Ryan Von Ghoulsworth—DJ, archivist, writer, and the mind behind Mutants of the East—for a deep dive into Maine’s haunted musical underbelly.

A lifelong Mainer with roots in Auburn, Ryan has spent years digging through the state’s overlooked sonic history. From producing for Damnation Land to hosting WMPG’s Mutants of the East (and transforming it into a record label in 2025), Ryan has become a key figure in preserving the strange, the forgotten, and the fiercely local.

  • The Faceless Woman of Silver Lake: A True Maine Haunting
    Jun 12 2026

    CW: Descriptions of violence

Is Sarah Ware still searching for justice? Or is something older wearing her shape?

In 1898, Bucksport, Maine was shaken by the brutal and still‑unsolved murder of Sarah Ware. More than a century later, witnesses continue to report chilling encounters around — and beneath — the waters of Silver Lake.

In this episode, we explore the life and death of Sarah MacDonald Ware, the investigation that failed to bring her killer to justice, and the decades of ghostly sightings that followed. From Almira Miles’ early claims of spectral knocks to modern encounters on the lake’s hiking trails, Sarah’s story refuses to fade.

Featuring a special voiceover from Maine author and researcher Nomar Slevik, this episode seeks to uncover what might still linger in the dark waters of Silver Lake.

  • Acadia After Dark Fogcast Episode 35: Locating the Lost
    Jun 9 2026

Tonight’s Fogcast brought in two guests who know the darker corners of Maine better than most. Travis Hartford and Jeff Atwood, the voices behind Locating the Lost, joined me to talk about their work uncovering the stories behind missing persons and cold cases throughout New England. Their podcast blends interviews, live case discussions, and deep‑dive investigations to give a voice to those who’ve gone silent.

We talked about the cases that haunt them, the rumors that swirl through small towns, and some eerie moments they’ve encountered while chasing the truth.

  • She Saw Something on the Roof… and It Wasn’t Human
    May 16 2026

In 2001, a Maine woman witnessed a creature sitting on her roof — a wolf‑like humanoid with pointed ears, a long snout, and strangely human features. Was it a Dogman? A cryptid? A misidentified animal? Or something else entirely?

  • The Bear River Road Encounter
    May 9 2026

A couple driving through Oxford County witnesses an 8–9 foot tall, chocolate‑brown figure sprint across Bear River Road in the middle of the day. The BFRO investigator found the witness credible — and the location sits in one of Maine’s most active sighting clusters.

If Bigfoot exists in Maine… this might be some of the most convincing evidence yet.

  • 5 People Who Walked Into the Maine Wilderness… and Never Returned
    Mar 26 2026

Maine is a place where the GPS cuts out and the wilderness takes over — a landscape of deep forests, forgotten logging roads, and secrets older than memory. Tonight we explore five real disappearances where people stepped into the Maine woods… and were never seen again.

From a boy on a red tricycle to a hunter whose tracks simply stopped in the snow, from a grieving widow on the Appalachian Trail to a young man swallowed by the timberlands, and finally a quiet homeowner who vanished without a trace — each story reveals a different face of mystery. Some cases feel like wilderness tragedies. Others hint at something darker. All of them leave behind the same haunting question: How can a person vanish so completely that no trace of them is ever found?
