When you think about the "Passover", that night in Egypt, when the blood on the door protected the Children of Israel from certain death and destroyed the first born of Egypt.
The blood was on the two side posts and overhead, but not underfoot. There have been many who have been saved, but because of their unbelief they have lost out with God.
