 I am an older LGBTQ+ Air Force veteran living with the intersection, and consequences, of several neurological conditions: TBI, aphasia, autism, synesthesia, PTSD, alcoholism, and addiction. I only learned these facts in the last 10 years. I also have been in 12 step recovery for the past 30 years. Doctors give me no "model" for my condition, so there can be no comprehensive treatment plan. I have had to evolve my own non-traditional approaches to many human concepts in order to understand my own experience, and rebuild my life.
