If we allow, the news of the world can close our hearts in fear. And, if we allow, the news of our Inner Peace opens our hearts to Love. Throughout the many histories of war, there have been singular individuals who have resisted the temptation to harden their hearts, and instead - have kept their hearts soft and pliant, even when all hope seems lost.
