    • THE MISSING DOCTRINE OF SPIRITUAL ILLUMINATION
      Feb 6 2026

We live in a time of seeming vast spiritual decline and knowledge of the basic teaches of the Evangelical faith. Though this may be mostly due much to neglect of Scripture reading and knowledge, but even if there is reading going on out there, it still appears there's a great valley between what is read and how it is to be applied to our daily living. This episode focus on the lost doctrine of spiritual illumination. Evangelicals have traditionally believed that Christians should be active in their reading engagement with the Word of God and to pray for the illuminating power from the Holy Spirit to provide understanding of the Scriptures to be spiritual enabled to apply them to their lives. Those who've read through the Word in faith do understand the spiritual value of experiencing the time with God in reading His Word often brings special truths to our lives that we never understood before experiencing God's power to open our understanding of His Word. This podcast will help listeners to understand what spiritual illumination is and is not. It will also lay a bedrock and encourage them to step out and invest themselves in greater measure for spiritual growth in 2026.

      Jan 6 2026

By God's grace we have been giving a New Year to accelerate our spiritual growth in 2026. There is no way better to start 2026 than with a prayer of devotion and dedication to God as we plan, not just our personal hopes for growth, but our own advancement in the Christian faith as well. This episode of 2Days Denarius presents a New Year's dedication prayer from a book titled, "The Valley of Vision." It is a prayer that we can meditate upon as we seek God's wisdom and guidance for the new blessings and challenges that may come our way. There is also a focus on how to deal with our commitment to resolutions that provides encouragement for listeners to persevere should they plan them. Be blessed! And start the year right with a moment dedication prayer and thankfulness to the Lord!

    • PROVIDENCE AND PRAYER: Morning Starter Dec. 8, 2025
      Dec 8 2025

The providence of God is His working and sovereign control over our lives as Christians and the world, along with its nations as well. We often don't realize or overlook His workings and sovereign will over all things. Knowing this, we should take comfort that even in the greatest of trials and crises in our lives, God is there. He sees, He rules, and whatever He ordains is right. This episode of 2Days Denarius focuses on how God's providence and our prayers work together as found in the devotional "Everyday Prayer with the Puritians" by Donald McKim. It's based on the story of Abraham sending his servant to his former country to find a wife of his son, Isaac. It's found in Genesis 24:42-49 and it puts God's providence and a man's prayer working together at a critical point in history. This is a great way to start your week that will help listeners, perhaps, see more clearly how God watches over and guides the circumstances in our lives often when we call upon Him in prayer.

Material used for commentary and education in this episode comes from the excellent devotional: "Everyday Prayer with the Puritans" by Donald McKim, published by P&R Publishing, Philippsburg, NJ, 2021. This devotional is highly recommended to listeners of 2DaysD!
