Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. The Azores High is running the show today. This massive high-pressure system parked over the Atlantic is cranking up our winds and pumping warmer air across the island. You'll feel those east-southeast breezes gusting to 25 miles an hour. and they're bringing fast-moving showers along for the ride. In the next 24 hours. Metro San Juan starts mainly clear at 74 degrees. Scattered rain showers roll in after 9 A.M. As temps climb to 83 degrees. Tonight brings more passing showers and a mild low of 75 degrees. Down south. Ponce and the southern coast claim the heat prize. We're talking 87 degrees this afternoon with just isolated showers after 3 P.M. but tonight the pattern shifts. Showers become more likely after 9 P.M., peaking around 3 A.M. Lows dip to 72 degrees. Out west. Mayaguez and the western coast hit 85 degrees under sunny skies. Isolated showers arrive after 3 P.M. Tonight clears out with lows around 69 degrees — the coolest spot on the island. Sunday looks gorgeous with full sunshine and highs in the low to mid 80s. Monday brings shower chances back. By midweek, winds really kick up and we could see thunderstorms over western Puerto Rico. Temperatures stay warm in the low 80s. One important note if you're beach bound. A moderate rip current risk persists through the weekend. Those breezy winds create hazardous swimming conditions, especially along exposed beaches. Check conditions before you dive in. In Sunrise this morning was at 6, 45. Sunset tonight at 6:31. We're gaining over a minute of daylight each day now — spring equinox is just 20 days away. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.
