Description

Alexandria Wilde makes this story interesting.
What did you love best about Wild?
The story it's self is a par-normal mystery. However, Selene one of the heroines (who is a shape shifter, for around 30 years) I find it hard to believe she has no clue nor did she ever try to find anyone else like herself since she's computer savvy and highly intelligent. (that whole premise is just screwy) Eve who is the love interest, and a medical examiner for the city is being stalked by a nut job serial killer. Selene in wolf form stops his attack on Eve. Then she goes behind a tree and turns back into her human form and helps Eve. They form an instant attraction. Alexandria Wilde's narration made this story interesting. Without her various voices for each character I don't thing I could have listened to the whole story.
Would you recommend Wild to your friends? Why or why not?
If you enjoy lesbian, paranormal mystery, with excellent narration then yes it may be worth it for you to listen.

I love Alexandria Wilde and her narration's I've listened to many of her narrations in erotica, and novels, she has a wonderful voice and can do accents, and different genders, as well as express emotion, and passion. One of the best narrators for romance and erotica.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I wouldn't ........

I just found that with all of Selene's intelligence, and obvious capabilities and access to internet, that she never bothered to try to find others of her kind. Yes she was orphaned, and kicked out from her home but obviously she over came obstacles to get an education and earn a very good living. I can suspend my imagination on a lot of things but some how this part of the story bothered me. Again if it were not for Alexandria Wilde, this story would never have gotten me to the end. I'm not sure if a squeal is planned but at least we have the whole shape shifter thing out in the open......So maybe Selene will help Eve with her forensic work in the future. Who knows. As long as Alexandria Wilde Narrates I'd give it a try.

Steamy...
A good read with alot steamy romance scenes, had a decent plotline which kept things interesting. And... for me it was an acceptable amount of plot vs (sex on a stick). This had a nice mystery/thiller plot pusher which I enjoy and some touching moments as well. I read another novel which was the inverse of that cough* cough* midnight hunt, let's just say it was all about (sex on a stick) vs (sex on a stick).

Definitely Wild!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I loved it and wish that they would do all of Meghan O'Brien's books, with Alexandria Wilde as narrator. The story is erotic and different. I loved the characters and story line.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Eve. She was so open-minded. Her acceptance of Seline's changing was so refreshing. Laughed and cried, My favorite story line.
Have you listened to any of Alexandria Wilde’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes and this one is just as good!
If you could rename Wild, what would you call it?
I wouldn't it's the perfect title...

Great story

Yes, it is a good story if you like the supernatural, and I love it, so do other friends.

Celine, because she would be the most interesting person I ever met.

Good, but...
Would you consider the audio edition of Wild to be better than the print version?
Despite this being a very good audio book overall, no.Although the narration added depth to the story, some aspects of it shift my personal preference towards the print (e-book) version.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wild?
Nope. I'm not going to spoil that for you.
What aspect of Alexandria Wilde’s performance would you have changed?
I really liked Alexandria Wilde's narration, but Selene's "Russian" accent did not seem to match the character's background.
And while I would normally overlook the pronunciation of 'perigee' in a romance novel, I was helpless against the tidal pull of the occasional "peri-ghee" towards a culinary tangent.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A hot shapeshifter romance.
Any additional comments?
Wild is an entertaining mix of romance, crime and urban fantasy.
I would recommend the audiobook to anyone who doesn't mind Selene's accent as much as I do.

Awesome-sauce!
I think I have fallen in love with Meghan O'Brien. This was such a good story that I had to read it twice. I hope this becomes a series. It would be a hit.

I expected more...
Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable but between the stalker-serial killer and the sex it just missed something.
I like logic in my fantasy, some consistence some explanation and closure. If this would have been the first part of a series, were we would find out about the supernatural in modern society and get some background on shapeshifter selene then I wouldn't complain.
In this case however we get thrown into the story and it's a good one but it doesn't feel complete.
If you create a supernatural element in the modern world please do me the favor and integrate it properly. Give my romantic heart not just the setting and some sex, give it the substance I'm craving.
Nonetheless I could recommend this audiobook for some light reading, äh I mean listening.

Selene's slight Italian accent was my undoing
I have to praise the voice acting, Selen's slight Italian accent was my undoing, it gave me shivers eveytime. Alexandria Wilde did a perfect job with this audiobook.
For the story: I know Meghan O'Brien as the author of some of the smuttiest wlw books I've ever read. And it shows in this work that she knows how to write hot, explicit scenes. But it also shows that she can write more. A hunt for a serial killer, a forensic scientist he sets his sights on and a shapeshifter who gets involved. I would love the read/listen more of this kind of books from O'Brien.

This is trash and I regret buying it so much.
You know what's "wild"? Making a character think about her pulsating p*ssy immediately after being assaulted, nearly raped and killed in broad daylight, plus, for all she knows, almost ripped to shreds by a wolf.
That's not how it works. Every women deals with sexual violence differently - some may overcompensate, some may re-live the experience. The argument that Eve and Selene feel some kind of bond to warrant their arousal isn't that though. It's a lame excuse to skim over a trauma that changes you forever as if it never happened and come right to the - of course! - astoundingly perfect, effortlessly fulfilling sex.
It could have been a book about two women overcoming traumatic experiences together, intertwined with one's shapeshifting abilities. It could have been an erotic shapeshifting love story where one of them happens to catch a murderer.
This is none of those either. The reason the intense trauma Eve goes through is only mentioned vaguely is because it is used just as a reason for the two women to meet and immediately have otherwordly sex. And it's not like author had no choice.
This is not empowering. And it doesn't matter whether it's well written or gets explained somehow later on. It's lazy and cringeworthy at best and I won't waste my time listening to this further. Two stars because at least the reader knew how to do her job.

good ideas, ok story
The idea to mesh a detective thriller with a fantasy romance story works surprisingly well, the only two bigger flaws I could see are the pretty boring antagonist and the cliche romance drama in the middle of the story, there needed to be more and/or better reasons why Selene couldn't reveal her secret.

Empfehlung für dieses Hörbuch
Das beste lesbische Hörbuch, was ich bisher gehört habe!
Die Handlung ist klasse und spannend gehalten, wobei einige Stellen einem eine Art Law & Order Feeling verpasst. Dazu hat die romantische Entwicklung zwischen den beiden Hauptprotagonisten ein ordentliches Pacing, sodass die Entwicklung zwischen den beiden nicht überstürzt oder künstlich wirkt, was tatsächlich sehr angenehm ist und der Geschichte etwas authentisches verpasst.
Zu guter letzt ist die Sprecherin einfach ein Genie, da sie für jede Figur eine eigene Betonung bzw. Stimmlage benutzt, was hilft die Figuren auseinander zu halten und ihre Gefühlslagen nachzuempfinden und sich mit ihnen zu freuen oder zu leiden.
Fazit: Mit diesem Hörbuch kann man echt gar nichts falsch machen!
