Description
What happens when the world's fiercest fashion editor learns she's pregnant—and her distracting assistant is the only one she can turn to? This wildly popular age-gap lesbian romance mixes humor and chaos with self-discovery.
Jules Moretti is newly single, an aspiring writer, and the hyper-competent assistant to the most powerful woman in fashion. It's a tough job, but her ice queen boss won't settle for less than perfection.
Vivian Carlisle helms the internationally revered fashion publication Du Jour. She might be smack in the middle of a messy divorce, but you have to make sacrifices to be the best. That's what she tells herself, anyway.
When the unthinkable happens, Vivian's regimented world is turned upside-down. Her life is about power, success, and dominance—not a baby!
This single, shocking moment throws boss and assistant together into an intimacy neither could have imagined. With their lives in chaos, every day brings a new challenge bigger than the last. But everything will work out . . . just so long as they don't do anything totally ridiculous.
Like fall in love.
Contains mature themes.

I’ve listened to this 3 times
I liked the book because it has similarities to my fave Audible “The Brutal Truth” by Lee Winter.

Exquisite
The writing and narration are sublime. I’ve been waiting for this audiobook and I am sad it is over! The story of Vivian and Jules is easy to get lost in. Ice queen, age gap, steamy. Ready for the next in the series to be out in a few days!

Movie worthy!!!
I’ve listen to both books twice already and I have to say that the narrator and writer are wonderful. I would love to see these books made into movies.

Worth the credit, fully engaged from the beginning till end. Great story, wonderful MCs. Of course, as usual, Abby Craden brought the story to life perfectly. Never miss this one.

Great story! High recommendations.
I loved the story, though a bit long to get to the romance, I appreciate the character development. Love Abby Craden always and looking forward to the next book.

Performance so good I needed a cigarette
This was a slow burn but oh my goodness was the buildup worth it. I've ran the gamut on spicy books at this point, harem, romance, monster girls, monster guys, reverse harem, a whole cornucopia of smutty goodness. Never in all of those much more explicit books have I had to pause, take a deep breath, and let out an audible "Oh my goodness" at the intensity of a performance and writing.
This is top shelf, the buildup is long but extremely worth it. Don't get put off by how much of a jerk Viviane is and just rest easy knowing the ice queen will thaw... eventually.

Absolutely Fabulous
Jules Moretti is the highly competent assistant to the world’s fiercest fashion editor who demands perfection.
Vivian Carlisle is in a messy divorce while being the editor of the international magazine Du Jour. Then she learns that she is pregnant.
This is a fascinating look into the fashion industry and the best ice queen and age gap relationship I have ever listened to or read.
Lots of humor and the grandest narration by Abby Craden.

Great Story
Love the story, characters, and how it was progressing. Not too fast not to slow and also not entirely predictable. Abby Craden is a great narrator, only her attempt of a German accent made me cringe it sounded more like French mixed with something like Russian and nothing like a German accent. It didn't bother me though.
I would absolutely recommend this audio book, especially if you like the ice queen trope.

Not just the standard lesbian romance
I love Abby Craden but her British accent (sounds like Oliver Twist) and German accent (sounds like a random foreign person) are terrible! But she’s still my favourite narrator.
