    Description

Strange things are happening in Prosper Woods, California. Ever since moving here a few months ago, my life has turned upside down. Some things have been amazing, like falling head over heels for Vincent Lasco, a gorgeous 700-year-old vampire. Other things have been weirder than I could ever imagine.

I’ve learned a fundamental truth about myself. Needless to say, it came as a massive shock. Of course, most of the town residents have quirks of their own. Let’s just say, nothing is boring about this bizarre place.

    Supernaturals flourish here!

Falling for Sheriff Romeo Harmon wasn’t something I expected when I relocated to a quiet town in the sequoias. He makes me happier than I’ve ever been. He’s kind and funny and honest to the core, just the kind of man I used to be, centuries ago.

I have a new lease on my very long life. Things could go on just the way they are, but there’s something I’ve been asked to do before that happens. I need to help Romeo find a sweet little boy and finally lay him to rest.

Who knew ghosts could have broken hearts?

Vincent and Sheriff Romeo are my chance to find peace, at last. I’ve been waiting for someone to notice I’m gone for a long time. Until the vampire showed up, I wasn’t sure anyone could help. All I want to do is move on to the next step...and I really need to rest.

Vincent and Romeo, you’re my only hope.

    So much love!

I love each addition to this series and can’t wait for the next one especially with how this one ends. I was laughing so hard but also need to know more! Romeo and Vincent are still so strongly connected and love each other. They are also working to get Romeo to be able to control his abilities more with them being so new. I also loved getting more PoVs and want to know what’s going to happen for some of the other characters. I love the town and all the characters so much!

    It’s worth it

Love this series hope Patricia is busy writing more episodes. I remain speechless about Patricia Logan’s talent in building an entire world that is plausible and engaging; I also just love the letters to the editor such a clever yet quirky additions to the story although not really part of the story ( you’ll have to listen to understand what I mean) I actually started to look forward to them as much as to the main story, anyway this series is definitely worth the credits take a chance you will be definitely be entertained. Narrator John Solo as usual was on top of his game.

    OMG!

The series keeps getting better and better! The new characters in this book made my jaw drop. The established characters either make you love or hate them depending on which side they are on 😉

    Love it

I really loved this story a lot. I think maybe the author doesn’t understand what prey animals are, but it’s only mentioned a couple times so It’s really not as bothersome as it is in my own head. I absolutely love the fact that she upgraded narrators. John Solo does a much better job than the narrator she used for other series. Well, I need to know what happens, so on to the next one!

    fascinating story

True Blue is Book 2 in the Prosper Woods Chronicles series and should be enjoyed in order. This really is a fascinating series. Vampires, werewolves, mediums, witches, and a variety of shifters. In this book we learn more about Blue as Vincent and Rom figure out what happened to him. There is another mysterious death, and more interesting letters to the editor. It was great to see Greg figure through some of his feelings about his best friend Sam. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next in this series. Definitely recommend.
Narrator John Solo does another fabulous job in this series, though he did mispronounce quesadilla and I'm not sure if that was intentional or not.

The weirdest yet of the three

So Rome and Vincent set out to help a tiny ghost find his peace, and in the process. Rome discovers that a number of murders have occurred, that the former sheriff was corrupt, and that their arch-nemesis has joined forces with the vamps who've been banished from Prosper Woods and its environs. And to top it all off, we're introduced to a whole new set of supes with their own backstories to sift through. Oh, and let's not forget Alpha Greg's discoveries about his relationship with his best friend Sam. There's just too much going on in this story, and we get to the end and nothing is resolved, aside from the child's ghost and the others buried where he was being finally laid to rest. And frankly, I think John Solo lost out on this one, precisely because there were just too many different voicings to make. He did valiantly, but I was less than impressed with this one.

    Complications galore

Fast forward two months from the end of True Mate and we arrive at True Blue (I really recommend being familiar with both True Knight and True Mate before tackling this). As seems usual, we lead off with another body for Sheriff Romeo to deal with plus the leftover threads from the previous books. Still more characters are added to the existing cast, but they do have their place in the bigger picture. I don’t care for how much the story and perspectives change, as the bouncing about makes things a bit confusing at times. However, I do enjoy how easy it is to get invested in the various characters with liking/disliking them increasing according to their natures. A couple of storylines are wrapped up, but several more left to continue on in this serial. John Solo really is the perfect choice to narrate these books and the myriad of characters. His voice is so emotive here and brings everything to life.
