Description
What happens when my brother's rival becomes my secret crush?
Noah Slade is a Formula 1 legend in the making. Focused. Unapproachable. Ruthless on and off the track. A man with walls higher than the Grand Canyon. And my brother's new teammate.
I want more of the prince who disguises himself as the villain. But while I crave a happy ending, he wants to destroy his.
Maya Alatorre is a forbidden temptation. An ambitious post-grad I should stay far away from. And chaos wrapped with a bow.
We're a ticking time bomb, about one wrong move away from exploding. I want to trip the wire, detonating together in passion and pain.
Because in the end, all's fair in lust and war.
Contains mature themes.

Everything is great, accents need work
I loved the book and I love Lauren Ahser. Great story.
Aiden Snow is a staple, he did great, as well as she. However, the female narrator needs to work on her accents (and I say this as both a German and Spanish native speaker): her take on them was extremely odd. Maya’s mother sounded like she just went through a stroke and wasn’t able to pronounce words all that good yet. It’s not necessary to suuuper highlight foreign words, I could be listening in peace and suddenly the word BARTHELONA would get almost screamed at me. Also: it’s paElla, not paYElla, which is a rookie in Spanish mistake. She doesn’t know where to use the „TH“ (lispy s) pronunciation, employing it at times where it makes absolutely no sense. It really bugged me the whole book.

Pros and Cons
The Story: This story was a little longer than I typically like but I think it worked with listening versus reading. The story was engaging, full of dynamic characters, and a ton of anticipation and spice. I even got into the racing parts, which is something I thought I had no interest in. It took a bit for me to get into the story line but by the time the FMC and MMC got together I was swooning. The end wrapped up beautifully with satisfactory resolutions to all of the conflicts.
The voice actors: Aiden Snow voices Noah and gets 10/5 stars. He did amazing and I loved every chapter of his. I would love to read other stories that he's narrated just because of how talented he is at portraying the emotion of the character.
Ramona Master, on the other hand, was a huge disappointment as Maya. She was the reason I had a hard time getting into the story. Her cadence was unusual and I felt like she chopped up sentences in weird ways and emphasized words that I wouldn't have. And I just want to say, it wasn't her accent that was the problem. I loved her accent. I just severely disliked her reading style.

LOVED this narration! I am now a Formula 1 fan!!
I REALLY enjoyed the audio version of this book! Aiden Snow captured everything I imagined for Noah and had that perfect deep, sultry tone to his voice that perfectly portrayed this alpha male racer who was all about himself. Then there was Ramona Master who was a new to me narrator but absolutely perfect for Maya! I loved her voice! Her tone was sweet and adorable with the perfect little underlying accent for Maya’s Spanish heritage! This narration definitely elevated the book for me and made it an enjoyable listen!
I’ve read a lot of sports romance, but never a formula 1 book and I absolutely loved it! I totally want to run to Netflix and watch the Formula 1 show now! The way this sport was described was just so sexy and made it so appealing! Lauren Asher has made me a fan!
This book is adorable and sweet, but interesting and angsty! Maya’s brother, Santiago is an F1 racer and just got hired to the Bandini team. Maya is a vlogger and joins him for the season while she travels to all the races and vlogs. Noah is already a famous F1 racer on the Bandini team and Santiago is his racing rival after an incident on the racetrack. Noah is a complete playboy and kind of a jerk. I will admit I was not his biggest fan at first. However once him and Maya meet, the chemistry between them was there from the start. He’s her brother’s rival so she knows it’s not going to happen. Meanwhile, Noah wants her and can’t get enough of her. He is totally an alpha male and will do whatever it takes to have her.
I absolutely loved Maya throughout this whole story but Noah was one character that had me on a rollercoaster of emotions in this book. One minute I didn’t like him, the next he had me swooning, then I wanted to throw something at him….it definitely a journey of growth for him but I defintiely grew to love this bad boy who is willing to change himself when it comes to love.

Love the story/characters
I'll keep it short and sweet. I love the story. Love the character interactions and growth. Love the male narrator's sexy voice. The female narrator, however, sounded a bit whiny and when she portrayed her mother's voice, it sounded...odd.

Idk why people are saying the narrators are bad but I have bought 118 audio books on this app. I’ve got to say they did a great job!!! I’ve heard horrible narration and these two blew me away!! Can’t wait for the next book! The story was great! Can’t wait to have more from Lauren Asher!

Formula 1
Formula 1 is a little complicated than the book depicts. But I understand it is not about formula 1 but a driver and the woman that he falls for. Aiden Snow was perfect. Female narrator in my opinion not so much. Sorry!

I enjoy this a lot!!
Spicy lvl: 2.5/5
Story: 4.5/5
Narrators: Aiden Snow - 5/5- as always did an exceptional job. Ramona Master- 3/5 - she did an okay job. It was hard to sometimes distinguish the female voices. Also, somehow she made the Mom in the book sound British. I did like her male voice for Noah.
I really enjoyed this book. It was fun, angsty, cute, romantic, and dare I say thrilling. Let me tell you, this book has me wanting to watch some F1 racing. That’s how addicted I was to the book. That scene when Noah was involved in a tough situation, had my heart pounding. Lol. I little stopped what I was doing to just sit and listen. Lol. Well done Author.
I did like Noah and Maya as a couple. The development of their relationship was well developed. The character development for Noah was also well done.
Noah - he was a hurt and broken person that used his arrogant personality to cover it up. He slept around but was open about it. The thing he did after being rejected by Maya, was a dick move but he didn’t owe anything to her or anyone. I think he showed understanding of how his actions could and did hurt someone. His willingness to get better and work on himself was commendable. I like that once he understood his feelings for Maya, he was willing to go all in. Even wanted to be public about it. I actually hurt for him and his need to belong to someone. To have someone that supported him and was on his side. His need to be appreciated and loved was palpable. His lust for Maya did turn to love and it was amazing to see. I liked him, arrogant and all.
Maya - I thought she was okay. A bit immature when it came to telling her brother about Noah. One because she asked Noah to be all in and she was not. Two, because she assumed she knew better than her brother. She should have let her brother decide how he felt about his sister and teammate dating. I really didn’t like that she was hiding the relationship. I didn’t like all the lies she says to cover up her relationship.
I wished the epilogue was a bit longer. But I’m glad they got a HEA ending.
I am very much excited to hear the rest of the stories.
