    I wanted to know more details about a couple of characters that play a role in Game of thrones, some having do with the three eyes crow and the last days of the Targarian reign. Both questions were answered and at the same time I got to know all that historical context for the conquest and the origins of all the nations in this extensive ficticios world. So, it was fastidious at times but even in that George R R Martin's work recals listening to real history but only way more entertaining.
