When she finds a disturbing drawing, dark and menacing, among her daughter’s brightly coloured paintings, Tess is convinced that Poppy has witnessed something terrible. Something that her young mind is struggling to put into words.

But no one will listen. It’s only a child’s drawing, isn’t it?

Tess will protect Poppy, whatever the price. But when she doesn’t know what, or who, she is protecting her from, how can she possibly know who to trust?

    Le plus pertinent
    Writing a bit irrirating at times, saying kid's name too often. Big clue cleverly dropped in. Quite stressful at times as character gaslit. Well developed story with lot's of moving sentiment. Only thing that niggles me about authors' work is describing characters' meals and snacks, which is all apple and lump of cheese or mango slices, lol, but still top writing and I'll continue to buy their work.

    Interesting take on gaslighting.
