Description
Some men are just off-limits. Like your ex-boyfriend’s father.
But when I met the sexy, powerful older man shortly after my business school graduation, he was simply the seductive stranger I wanted to notice me, and he sure did.
Fast forward a few months later, when my college ex–now a good friend–introduces me to the person he looks up to most...his father. The man with whom I spent that one hot night.
I should stay far away from the commanding business mogul. But my ex and I are planning a charity fundraiser that involves late nights at his dad’s penthouse in Manhattan. Nights where he can’t stop looking at me with desire in his eyes that matches my own.
I try to resist him, playing the good girl in the city...mostly. He’s the perfect gentleman...until he comes knocking on my door and tells me exactly what he wants to do to me.
And I say yes.
Stealing nights with him like this is supposed to be wrong, but it feels so right. And when he saves the day to protect his son at the fundraiser, my heart wants him as much as my body does.
Can we ever be more than just a tryst?

✫✫ 5 Stars ✫✫
The Tryst has easily pushed it's way to the top of my Lauren Blakely favorites list! I love all LB books but this is honesty one of the best I have listened to in a long time! This book has it all with age gap, forbidden romance, One Night Stand/Chance Encounter, Single Dad and somehow even with all that it was so low on drama! I went into this book knowing I would like it but I never expected to love it this much! I will be re-listening to this one again and again!
I loved how Layla & Nick meet and have so much chemistry from the first interaction. I also love the way the author handled the age gap and the adult virgin storyline with so little drama, like it was a fact but not what the story was about and she worked it out so you never think they couldn't work but in fact you know they are meant to be together. You would also expect lots of issues & drama with Nick being the Ex's dad but it was again handled beautifully and mature. This book hit every one of my happy buttons in romance and left me excited for the next book in the series! Instead of going into details about all the things that made this book PERFECT, I will just say LISTEN TO THIS BOOK NOW!! You will fall in love with Layla & Nick <3
The narration was amazing but I expected nothing less from Vanessa Edwin & Teddy Hamilton.
On a side note, Lauren just gave me my newest favorite word... Bangover!!!! I laughed and laughed!

❤️ ❤️ A ‘NO STRINGS’-TO-WEDDING RINGS MUST ❤️ ❤️
Lauren Blakely is always a ‘one click’ author for me because she creates storylines that have you swooning and melting and getting lost in her wonderfully crafted and paced love stories. In Layla and Nick’s forbidden age-gap journey we get great characters, warmth, hurdles, sex, sizzles, good friends, new friends, emotional challenges and a hero and heroine who couldn’t resist.. or walk away, from the love of their lives. But they did try.. and try.. and try. And Teddy and Vanessa were the perfect duo, the talented twosome and five star double fit to bring Nick and Layla’s sweet, sour and sexy bits to life.
Worth a credit? Its a gimme.. gimme.. gimme.. grabbing hands.. I need this now yes, very creditworthy.

Hotter than a July night in Miami!
Teddy and Vanessa bring Nick and Layla to life! Their narration is total fire! They will keep you wanting more and longing for the next chapter! I went into this book, thinking “when is the other shoe gonna drop?” The forbidden Romance trope is one that admittedly makes me have those moments of tensing up and asking “do I want to keep reading/listening ..? Do I want to stop for now? But then two minutes later I turn the book back on and listen to more because I needed to know what happened next!!! It was like that throughout the entire book. Layla and Nick make you want to cheer for them. They make you want to see them get their HEA… but “the how” is what makes this book shine! How can they possibly end up together? How can they make it work with their families…?
Like every Lauren Blakely book, the hero and heroine are people you want to see get all of what their heart desires but you know it comes at a price. The mental journey that you see Layla makes route for her even more. Sure she is Part of the Park Avenue Elite and just starting out in her career, but even at 23 she is already a badass Babe Boss lady! Nick is a self-made business mogul but not too far removed from once working at the Country Club versus being a member. Through all the obstacles they face, you want them to find a way.
The supporting cast of friends and family is just that… support. This is the second book in the series and I always enjoy when the author ties in previous characters. Harlow and Ethan are Layla’s rocks and the dynamic between these best friends helps create depth. Side note: I can’t wait to see what happens with Ethan and separately with Nick’s brother Finn. Blakely creates a world for her characters you want to be a part of. I could easily see any this authors books become a Netflix series that I would gladly binge!
This book kept me guessing on how it would end till the very end — at times- curled up, listening to it with a blanket, almost over my head, waiting, just waiting , for that aforementioned shoe to drop.
Allow yourself to get lost in “The Tryst”.
You won’t be disappointed!

Sweet emotional & forbidden!
The Tryst was a sweet, flirty, emotional and forbidden romance. I could not get enough of Layla and Nick’s story. I loved their connection they had and how their friendship grew and they were open and honest with each other about their pasts. Their chemistry was undeniable the more they worked together. This one will tug on your heartstrings, the conversations Layla had about her father with her mom and Nick had me tearing up.
Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin were able to portray Nick and Layla’s emotions and personalities throughout this book. They were a great pairing and brought these characters to life.

Age gap story
Excellent age gap story with an ex-boyfriend's father. Nick and Layla meet at a conference and have an immediate attraction. They don't tell each other about their lives since this is supposed to be a one-night stand. Nick lives in London and Layla in New York. Nick ends up following her videos and commenting on them. She figures out who he is and the start dm'ing each other. Neither one can stop thinking about the other. When Nick has business in NY, she agrees to have a date with him. Unknown to Nick, Layla and his son used to date. This causes complications between all of them. Nick and Layla decide to stay away from each other but can't. I like the way Nick is so caring about his son's feelings. This is a wonderful audiobook and Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin do a wonderful narration.

Sinfully delicious and seductive
“The Tryst” is a sinfully delicious forbidden age gap romance that is sweet, steamy and oh so seductive.
Layla’s past is difficult and tragic but each day she tries to live each day to the fullest. At a conference in Miami, she meets an older, attractive man, named Nick, who catches her attention in the best possible way. The two agree to one night with each other. Months later, they find themselves together again planning a fundraiser. But there’s one little problem, Nick is Layla’s ex-boyfriend’s father.
I loved the instant connection and chemistry between Layla and Nick. I could feel it as I listened and could not stop listening. Layla is smart, brave and goes for what she wants. And when that included Nick in Miami, I was cheering her on. Nick oozes confidence and compassion and has become one of my favorites from Lauren Blakely’s world. Layla and Nick fit so well together and I loved their age gap. It was enough to put Nick in the older man category but not too big that it didn’t seem realistic. They have great banter and I loved their relationship so much.
Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin were perfect as Nick and Layla. Teddy brought all of Nick’s confidence to life and I loved him as Nick. Vanessa’s performance, especially when Layla talked about her past, was so good that it gave me chills. Vanessa brings all the emotions of that memory to life.

Love Love Love Lauren!
The Tryst has got to be one of the best books I've binged by Lauren Blakely so far. There is such art in weaving a truly captivating tale. Even though this Virgin Society series is a little young for me I must be just young enough at heart. Will be not so patiently be waiting for the next book!

Age gap, and friends dad.
I was patiently waiting for this book as I knew it would be another great release by this author , but I had no idea just how good it was. I love every book LB writes but she outdid herself with The Tryst. There are so many things about this book that I loved. The age gap, the friendships between Layla and all her people. I loved her relationship with Nick’s son and how all that plays out. The multi side stories that are going on bring it all together and make it real. So many terrific things to say but I don’t want to reveal too much. Just know it has moved into my number one spot for LB’s releases.
Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin are perfect for this book. Their voices were so enjoyable to listen to. I loved it and highly recommend it.

Unsurprisingly Amazing story!!❤️❤️❤️
For the love of all that is Holy... just Wow!! LB is a one click, no questions asked every time. As soon as I see a new release, I don't look at reviews and don't second guess because her work is Epic and it's just a no brainer that its going to be fantastic (because it is every time). I do regret not reading the reviews however, because I freaking cried So much and wasn't completely prepared for the depth of this story...but I forgive you for this amazingly gut wrenching story LB because Noone can break a heart so good like you can. I have a feeling I know who's story comes next, and I'm absolutely giddy to find out if I'm right!

Could not stop listening! So good!❤️❤️
Wow…just wow! What a great story. It’s a little heavier then most of Lauren Blakely’s stories, but what a ride. Be prepared with a box of tissues for chapter 30. A fantastic second installment of the series. Now I have to wait for Jules’ story in book three. But I’m really really looking forward to Ethan’s story too.
