The BSC has a rival
When I was a child, I loved the Babysitters Club books. I devoured them. I read those, along with the Super Specials, Mysteries, Little Sister books, etc. In fact, I still have all of them to this day in paperback. They were such a big part of my love of reading, I could not part with them. So now that they have come out on Audiobook, I had to check them out. As it turns out, I am not too old to enjoy The Baby-sitters Club. It kind of feels like going home again.
The Truth About Stacey is book 3 in the Baby-sitters Club series. In this book, there are two main storylines. The first addresses Stacey and her struggles with her parents inability to accept her diabetes. They keep taking her to doctor after doctor in an attempt to find a miracle cure. The other is that there is a rival babysitting group trying to take the BSC's business. The Babysitters Agency has older kids that are allowed to babysit longer hours and late at night. The BSC start to worry as they are getting fewer calls. They really have to put their heads together to figure out how to stop from going out of business.
This book is a quick listen and is only 3 hours and 7 minutes. The narrator does a good job.
I still love the nostalgia and am ready to listen to book 4!

A fine addition to this series
I'd imagine noot many pre-teens or teenagers knew much about diabetes until this series began. The narration is excellent. Those poor girls, played for fools, one of the kids almost freezing in the snow, and the club means a lot to Kristy, but, things turned out fine in the end. I'll listen to more of them later on for sure.

Super cute read and I love how it's showing young kids about responsibly and diabetes and about challenges that come your way. They work things out in smart ways. Again I loved this series growing up, and getting to listen to it on audible is nostalgic.

Oh the nostalgia!!
This was very good. I like these girls and their adventures and challenges! I loved that the girls were met with a challenge to their business in this one and I enjoyed getting to know Stacey more.

It's nice to revisit a favorite from my childhood
I loved the Babysitters Club books, tv show and movie when I was a kid, so I was really excited to see they are now on Audible. I enjoyed this book and how the author explains what it's like for Stacy living with diabetes. Its important for kids to have characters they can relate to. I also liked the book's themes of being responsible and having courage to do the right thing even when its difficult. I enjoyed Elle Fanning's performance as well. It was a nice easy listen. I can't wait to listen to the next book.

Diabetics should listen to this book.
Ella Fanning is an excellent narrator for Stacy who is dealing with Type 1 diabetes.

The best book I ever red she feels so alive and beautiful and the best member of the baby sister club
This is the best babysitter club book I like how she’s the only one with diabetes and she hid it but then she felt comfortable with telling her friends in the first book and how in this book she makes friends with lane again she just seems mature and grown-up super good babysitter, beautiful, kind, and very supportive of her friends, even though she needs support as well.
