Zee owes her life, indeed her very existence, to the company. But she is dependent on them for her continued existence and is legally their property.
Now the competition has made a breakthrough that could change all of that. She has six days to infiltrate the competition, then find, and steal, the secret that could set her free.
Along the way, she explores the idea of what it might mean to become a real person. She also has to make hard decisions about how she will treat people she thinks of as friends.
There is so much to do, so much to gain, and so much to lose in the six days she has. She will have to decide how she will use the time she is given.
