I read the first book, King of Flesh and Bone on kindle. The second, Queen of Rot and Pain, I listened to the audiobook. The female narrator was OK but the male narrator lacked energy. I depicted Enosh as vibrant, dynamic. This guy portrayed none of that. The opposite, actually. I wish I'd read it like the first, which I happily give 5 stars to.

if you're looking for Dark, these books are good candidates. I really enjoyed the character arcs, particularly that of Ada. The author managed the transformations, while maintaining the integrity of the characters,who were well fleshed out and believable.

I'd be interested in a Yarin or Eilam's story.
