    I loved every second of this story. The performance was superb and the concept of the library one I think I will remember for always. I lost my brother to depression and it is comforting to think that maybe he too ended up inside the midnight library in one life. Mrs Elm is a superb character. We all need a Mrs Elm in our lives. This book should be prescribed to anyone suffering from Depression or Anxiety. It is - in itself - the gift of life, and one can’t but hope that if listened to by someone at the right time, it might save a life one day.

    I loved the narration, so clear and at a good pace. It felt like she knew the story well, no hesitation, easy to listen to.

    I really enjoyed Carey's performance. The story is beautiful and definitely worth a listen/read, although I found the writing a smidge redundant at times. Overall, it's a fun and original adventure, that leaves you with a feeling of renewal and motivation!

    It's a really magical story, even though the idea is nothing new. It's beautifully set, it's beautifully told. It gives hope and confidence and social context that many people miss in their daily lives, while it's not naive as most books in this genre. I rarely read fiction, but this was a real gem. The characters made sense, were deep, and well built. The plot although predictable, was full of surprising plot twists and a lot of space for imagination. It's worth to stop the book once a while and just think about what has happened and how does it reflect our lives.

    I loved this book. I had heard of it, and seeing it was narrated by Carey Mulligan made me buy it. I wasn't disappointed. It touches on so many subjects, mental health, family, ambitions and regrets... The mix of magic, science and fiction works really well to create a relatable character. Thought-provoking and a delight to read/listen to. I would recommend to anyone over 15.
