After 17 books of Harry Bosch, I decided to try another series by Michael Connelly, and I was surprised that the atmosphere is exactly the same in the Lincoln Lawyer series. The narrator seems very nervous at first and speaks very fast, but indeed this is eventually how we imagine the main character would be in real life, and we get used to it, and even like it.
The story itself unfolds in an unexpected way; it is not boring at all. Even the parts about the legal justice system are very interesting and captivating. In this first book, we develop a real attachment to the character and have the pleasure of feeling the tension thanks to the suspense of the story on many levels.
